So tell me again how Kristian not being in the lead category FYC wasn’t racist or intentional? And how Kristian hasn’t experienced racism throughout the entire show? Y’all seriously need to start looking at the bigger picture here instead of stupid ships #schoolspirits🙄🤔

It’s come to my attention the cast of School Spirits has been considered for Emmy nominations thanks to Paramount. Some fans are confused that despite being the lead, I was placed in a different category.
It hurt to see, since it felt consistent with a pattern I’ve experienced on the show, including its marketing. But Milo is a talented, good friend of mine who I’m happy to see his work recognized.
Studios make decisions all the time I don’t understand, but don’t want to. Energy you expend on one thing is less energy that can be spent on another. The true reward is performing, collaborating, and seeing audiences connect with the work. Recognition is meaningful, but it has never been the reason I do this.
I am so grateful. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and spoken up. It means more than you know.

@PNemiroff they set it up in season 1 very clearly and then haven’t acknowledged it since then. I feel like that’s unfair to Simon as a character and to the story. It’s fine if they don’t Simon and Maddie to become a couple, but it feels ingenious to at least not acknowledge it.

um when I see that a ship between two main characters, one of whom is a poc, has a thousand justifications and the strongest bond in the show, yet it’s considered platonic or, even worse, sibling-like interaction I would say you’re just a racist😭

Rewatching S3 again, and I really hope the writers start putting more effort into Maddie’s relationships with Simon, Nicole & Claire next season. These 3 have been pretty sidelined in terms of their connections to Maddie since S1 & it’s really unfortunate #schoolspirits

In fact, I hope S4 is mostly about Maddie reconnecting with the living group, not saying her relationship with the ghosts aren’t important, but the writers have made it that Maddie treats her relationship with the ghosts as more important then the living group #schoolspirits

And I think that’s completely unfair, considering all the effort (specifically Simon) they’ve put into getting her back. Also I’m not saying Maddie is treating them bad. But she’s definitely neglecting them in favor of the ghosts. Idk maybe it’s just me #schoolspirits
