We took a handful of students from Nebraska to DC and they briefed members of Congress about their research. It’s an experience most undergrads would never have. So happy to be working at a university that values student opportunities.
About 50 @UNOmaha students contribute to our national security through the @DHSgov research center. 27 students are currently focused on threats from Iran, including tracking drone activity and cyber threats.

NEW: Administration official tells me, "Mexican cartel drones breached US airspace. The Department of War took action to disable the drones. The FAA and DOW have determined there is no threat to commercial travel."

Today we mourn the lives lost on Sept. 11 and the countless other victims of terrorist attacks since that tragic day. NCITE was established in 2020 to help policymakers, practitioners, and the public better understand the nature of terrorist threats to the United States homeland.
