This is disingenuous and misleading.
This is the scenario:
- You have £100
- I take £40 from you
- Now you have £60
- I give you £20 back
- You now have £80
Is it really unreasonable for you to demand the remaining £20 back over the next few years?!
No, it’s not.
BMA strikes are unnecessary and unreasonable.
There isn’t a precedent in British trade union history for calling a strike after a 28.9% pay rise - let alone a five day strike.
The NHS is hanging by a thread they’re threatening to pull.
