My hope is that you consider the mental health of YOURSELF or somebody you love; if you have the means, consider a donation to help re-vamp of the McEwen building @sbh_winnipeg AND to let you know that your today needn’t define your tomorrow! @STBHF#Blessed

Dale Hawerchuk was one of the greatest players of the 1980s.
During his Hall of Fame career, he put up incredible offensive numbers, on his way to becoming a hockey great.
In Winnipeg, he is nothing short of a legend.
This is his story.
🧵 1/10
ALT A color photo of Dale Hawerchuk skating on the ice during a game. He wears a blue Winnipeg Jets jersey with red and white accents, featuring the Jets logo on the chest and a captain’s C on the upper left. He also wears a blue helmet and gloves, holding a hockey stick as he looks ahead. The background shows a blurred crowd and rink boards.

We know a thing or two about the “voices” of curling in Manitoba. Mr Rauter… thank you for bringing the Roaring Game to life for me and my family🎉

An important thread from one of the survivors of Kelsey McKay, sentenced to 20 years in prison for abusing nine students.
Following the abuse of a young girl and a lack of leadership from the institutions expected to protect her, he calls for swift action from the MB government.
This was disturbing to read on many levels and triggering as a parent in RETSD and survivor of teacher student misconduct/ abuse. The failure from all involved of a system that states our children are safe from many different levels (@MBGov, Manitoba Teacher Society, @RETSDschools and School) that allowed inappropriate conduct to take place and hide it rather than remove the individual from any access to any further children in Manitoba’s education system. Something i know to well. As well the comments made by the superintendent showing a disregard for conduct of staff toward students within the division's care. At the very least how was it acceptable for a child to be in a room alone locked with a teacher and never being checked on? @WabKinewwinnipegfreepress.com/breaki…
Laurent Brossoit was away from hockey for 1.5 years and underwent multiple surgeries just to be able to return.
Tonight, he scored a goalie goal in his third game back in the AHL 🥹👏
Gabriel Vilardi has shown real courage here, opening up about lifelong mental health struggles in case it might help someone.
He is not alone in the NHL or in life. I hope this story helps someone too ⤵️

Judging from reaction across the CFL, Ottawas hiring of Ryan Dinwiddie as GM & coach was a real stunner. Dinwiddie was still under contract to the Argos but adding the GM title in Ott. made it possible for him to leave. We all know what the speculation will be about his successor
As much as we’ve been critical of Strevy this campaign, you have to feel for the guy as he limps off the field. All the work he put in just to be available this season, and it looks like he reinjures the same knee. Football can be a cruel mistress
