We get the government we ask for. If we don't, it's because we asked for it.

So it seems that adults will need to verify their age with digital ID, face scan or similar methods to be allowed to use social media in Britain It's clear that this is not about protecting children They are introducing totalitarian control systems and many don't even realize

The fact that the Labour government is trying to ring-fence the entire population with digital ID surveillance and control is a grotesque abuse of power. No one voted for this. They are supposed to be public servants rather than Orwellian authoritarians.

Starmer: We want to digitally ID everyone who uses social media Brits: Absolutely Not! Starmer: OK then, we want to ban under 16s from social media (by digitally ID-ing everyone) Brits: OMG that’s a great idea. Idk what idiot would be against that 🥴

When Restore Britain wins, we are going to deport millions and there is nothing the stale British establishment can do about it.

It was never about safeguarding the kids. This is a smokescreen for government controlled digital ID via social media access - applicable to all.
JUST IN: UK Government clarifies adults will still be able to use social media by verifying their identities with digital IDs, facial recognition, passports and credit cards.

Rupert Lowe isn't arguing about immigration. He's arguing about priorities. Why are we more concerned about deporting criminals than protecting victims? The first duty of a government is to protect its own citizens. Has Britain lost sight of that?

If Starmer was genuinely concerned about under-16s, why didn't protect them from muslim rape gangs?

BlueSky is a far bigger threat to children than X, Facebook or YouTube. No social media platform is perfect, but BlueSky has serious child safeguarding issues that need addressing. Yet somehow it's been left off the ban list. The Government needs to explain the logic.
🚨NEW: Social media app BlueSky, is absolutely FULL of accounts that claim to be a “minor attracted person” In other words, they are PROUDLY calling themselves a pedophile. BlueSky was also conveniently left off of Starmer’s under 16s social media ban list…… H/T: @Inevitablewest

🚨BREAKING: Keir Starmer announces social media ban for under-16s “Politicians and tech companies have let children down for too long. But in a headlong rush to make up for lost time, the government is going down the wrong path.” “The British people have always, rightly, rejected mandatory ID schemes. Now the government is imposing digital ID checkpoints for the internet. This is not like Challenge 25 for alcohol. We will all face a “papers, please” demand to get online.” “Big Brother Watch would welcome evidence-led policies that offer real protection for young people. Instead, the government is mimicking much of Australia’s failed policy. A policy their own eSafety Commissioner admits has failed to keep children off social media.” “Worse, these proposals will force the public to trust their IDs to companies with serious track records of leaks and hacks.” “Targeted interventions that hold platforms to account, enforce existing laws, and give parents the tools they need are the answer. Evidence from Australia shows age bans don’t keep children off social media, they just remove the safety measures platforms put in place for them” - Jack Coulson, Head of Advocacy
