This is great! 🗽
Coolidge was president in 1926, when America marked its 150th anniversary. He delivered a speech about the Declaration of Independence and our Founding -- superb. Even deep. And, of course, timeless. I have written a column about it. thenextmove.org/p/americas-1…

THE FLAG OF FREEDOM 2⃣5⃣0⃣🇺🇸 At the dedication of the Lincoln Memorial in 1922, Dr. Robert Moton, president of the Tuskegee Institute, referred to the American flag as, "The flag that makes men (and women) free." Yes, our "Stars and Stripes" is a flag of liberation, a symbol of

California is not only allowing ballots to be counted a week after election day, but even ballots without postmarks. Eventually, you will be able to vote by just shouting out the window of your car at any election official...

If you're sick of higher taxes, here's some good news: Californians have the constitutional right to repeal or reduce any tax, fee, charge or assessment. A tax repeal initiative in L.A. County needs only 119,462 signatures to get on the ballot. dailynews.com/2026/06/10/sus…

To celebrate 🎇2⃣5⃣0⃣🇺🇸 let's start a new American tradition. Buy a book about America & give it to a young person at your 4th of July party or barbeque. They'll have a book to read this summer that will teach them history & increase their appreciation for our great country!🗽

p.s. David McCullough's "John Adams" and "The Wright Brothers" are the kind of books that I would recommend buying and giving to a young American on the 4th of July. 📚🇺🇸

California Democrats can't say Becerra would be the first Hispanic governor of California... It was Romualdo Pacheco, and he was a Republican.

Will the press please ask the Sec of State how many ballots were downloaded in this fashion?
Well, this is crazy. In California, ANYONE can request a ballot electronically, download it to a computer or phone, fill it out digitally, print it, and return it.

Work To Do: Tips for Matt Mahan as he returns to San Jose Leadership SVGOP Chairman Dave Johnson offers SJ Mayor Matt Mahan--now that his gubernatorial run is over--a simple, cost-effective agenda to get San Jose back on track. This is the truth about San Jose City Council and city staff:  * We're doing some things right. * We're doing some things wrong. * And a lot of what we're doing is in the muddled middle. Now that Mayor Mahan can devote his full time energies to our fair city, here's a list of simple recommendations to help him get focused on the priorities that matter so we can make real progress and deliver solid results.  1.) Get more cost-effective and aggressive about homelessness While on the campaign trail,  Mahan touted his Tiny Homes interim housing strategy as a model for the state in addressing homelessness--it isn't. It's too expensive, slow, and limited in its reach. This city is already warning that we basically won't have funds to continue expanding the Tiny Homes strategy. This is why SJ homelessness is still rising and around 50% of our homeless remain unsheltered. Solution: Pivot to large-scale, temporary shelters as cities such as Reno and other cities have done, putting a real dent in homelessness quickly. 🧵 1/5

Nobody, including you @RoKhanna, will answer the question as to WHY California allows votes to come in after 8pm on Election Night? WHY isn't everyone required to get their ballot in before that deadline, given that they had almost one full month to do so?
A close friend of mine is cancelling his voter registration today. He is convinced Spencer Pratt was robbed of the election. I explained to him that in California we count absentees first (which skew older and more conservative) and election day voters are younger and more Democratic. The slow count is largely because of policies to maximize participation, including postmarking a ballot on Election Day. Regardless, we need to figure out in California how we can get the vote counted faster and results tabulated so it does not drag on. We should make the investments in operational improvements and resources in the wealthiest state in the nation. It is worth spending the resources to get the vast majority of the vote counted within 48 hours. Right now the system is eroding trust and spawning conspiracy theories.

Gavin Newsom is spreading election misinformation. In California, handwritten dates can be accepted in lieu of a postmark.
The Mayor is spreading misinformation. Ballots are counted if they are postmarked BY Election Day so long as they are received up to 7 days after — you know, cause this is a big state and mail can take some time.

Why does California take a month to count votes? It's the same reason the state allowed $32 billion in unemployment fraud, builds the worst roads despite the highest taxes, and spent $24 billion on homelessness as the problem got worse. A total lack of accountability.

Proposition 13 was approved by California voters 48 years ago today, June 6, 1978. A new taxpayer protection initiative to reinforce it will be on the November ballot. It will make it harder to raise taxes, again, as Prop. 13 required. open.substack.com/pub/howard…

The reason ID is banned in California (and New York) elections is to enable large-scale fraud. When you combine no ID and mail-in voting, fraud is de facto legalized.
Spencer Pratt is likely going to be overtaken by far left Nithya Raman today. This graph shows the count on Election Day through last night. Nithya did this by suddenly winning 1st in every new ballot drop. North Korean "elections" have more self respect. Even they’d find it absurd for 3rd to suddenly jump to 1st place in every ballot drop DAYS after an election. It’s just ludicrous.
