Today marks 5 years since the public release of PyTorch! We didn't expect to come this far, but here we're🙂- 2K Contributors, 90K Projects, 3.9M lines of "import torch" on GitHub. More importantly, we're still receiving lots of love and having a great ride. Here's to the future!

I'm always astounded at the utility people get out of CLIP - it seems like every week a new awesome repo shows up with another use.

I enjoy spending on audio gear; good audio is always good audio. The Shure SM7 was released in 1973, used in MJ's Thriller and is still the industry standard. The HD580's came out in 1993 and are well regarded today. Worthy investment.

I've always wondered; how much of today's ML innovations carry over to the past? If one travelled back to the 1990's with all current ML knowledge, would it be of any use given the compute?

It's impossible to replace a default @Windows installation with a Linux distro without feeling better about yourself. ...or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.

the most consequential figures in the tech world are half guys like steve jobs and bill gates and half some guy named ronald who maintains a unix tool called 'runk' which stands for Ronald's Universal Number Kounter and handles all math for every machine on earth

Some AWS products sound like they're straight out of the Matrix... Graviton processors and Neoverse cores?

Ask a programmer to review 10 lines of code, he'll find 10 issues. Ask him to do 500 lines and he'll say it looks good.
