NHS pension statement misery time of year. I’m 3k over my AA and I’m yet to receive my 1995 statement with a 10k rise compared to last year (nothing new in my job/pay)… hard working 100% NHS with a CD role…. madness @goldstone_tony

Wow this is complicated. Apparently all due to inflation changes in 21/22. I estimate a 6k tax bill this year With inflation/CPI trebled in 22/23….can’t wait until next year!

Proud that @SwanseabayNHS Ed Major ICU has contributed to this fantastic study throughout the pandemic. Well done @GenomiccStudy & @kennethbaillie. Great teamwork in Morriston Hospital, @LukeNewey2 @rees_tabitha @harford_rachel @hilarywilary @Jilly9763 and Carl Murphy. And me.
6000 patients recruited to @GenOMICCstudy in the UK! Phenomenal achievement by research teams in 210 different ICUs. They work extremely hard, sometimes in incredibly difficult circumstances, to deepen our understanding of critical illness. genomicc.org/uk/recruitment/

1/ A thread about annual allowance in 19/20👇 Many of you will have received one of these nasty brown envelopes from @nhs_pensions this week. If you have (and even if you haven't) you may need to take action. Pay attention and share (please RT) with colleagues who may need this!

Didn’t think we were hit as hard as south east? More testing in Wales?

This is worth revisiting every month or so. Once medicine determines the first divergence, the rest will be decided by whom you voted for. Good luck.

Great to see provisional results from #RECOVERYtrial - look forward to reading full paper, great such cheap common drug seems helpful. Proud to work on a ICU that has committed to quality research throughout @SwanseabayNHS. Massive thanks to patients & families for participating

Mark Madams, @SwanseabayNHS Nurse Director, says 100 extra critical care nurses are needed at Morriston Hospital, in Swansea, to meet expected demand in the coming weeks. He is appealing for nurses to come forward bit.ly/39Hyijt

Hugely important to ALWAYS go back 7 years and use the HMRC calculator to get the most out of carry forward If your accountant or IFA offer to work out your AA charge with a single statement (3 carry forward years), you need a new accountant / IFA Please share and RT!
