We hosted @timfarron alongside @CLANorth members to talk all things food and farming, particularly on getting across the message of food nutrition to kids and supporting farmers transitioning to better environmental practices. Always find Tim a good listener who wants change.
Feb 17
Great to meet with local farmers and representatives of the Country Land and Business Association in Watermillock.
We talked about how government policy can be changed to help keep Britain food secure and support more young people into farming.

PfL members, Sam and Claire Beaumont of PfL certified @gowbarrow Farm in Cumbria, have successfully implemented bale grazing to reduce costs from £375 per head when the cattle were housed down to £30 per head, among the benefits.
