For this week’s @TopTweetTuesday , in the spirit of Elizabeth Bishop’s more narrative, roaming style, here is A Spray of Dust. Thanks to @MatthewMCSmith for hosting and inspiring us. 🛘

Agree with Regine, this is virtuoso, Stan! I especially love the stanza in which the glory of the Milky Way is accessible in spilled milk. “we think divinely we just walk across the churn”. How foolishly we sully the extraordinary by complicating and misperceiving reality. 👑

Hullo @MatthewMCSmith and to glorious @TopTweetTuesday Used a line in Wallace Stevens Six Significant Landscapes as my title to think about perspective and connectivity. Enjoy the day all.

I had three poems in last month’s The Candyman’s Trumpet theme Grief and Spring but I didn’t post here. This month’s theme was In My Craft and Sullen Art, TTT contributors may recognise one of them. Grateful to editor Jack for publishing them.

Inspired by William Carlos Williams’s ‘A Love Song’, I have written ‘Reconstituted’. Quite simple and weird. @TopTweetTuesday #micropoem #imagism #poetry #poetic

I wasn't convinced that the #poetry of William Carlos Williams would ever inspire me to write a response poem, but, sometimes, a piece just catches you. The image of the weeping woman at the window sparked this poem for @TopTweetTuesday Thank you to @MatthewMCSmith

This week's Thursday Throwback features Pot Washer by Emyr Payne. A sharp and candid piece, we thought it excelled in voice and enjoyed its resonant authenticity. Read it now in Issue 4. Friendly reminder, submissions for Issue 7 close tomorrow!
