Starmer: We want to digitally ID everyone who uses social media Brits: Absolutely Not! Starmer: OK then, we want to ban under 16s from social media (by digitally ID-ing everyone) Brits: OMG that’s a great idea. Idk what idiot would be against that 🥴

If your first response to violence against girls is to bemoan that it “helps the far right narrative”, you are in a cult.

Our government seems more bothered about stopping people seeing bad stuff happening, then it does about stopping the bad stuff happening. It is said bad stuff which is inciting disorder. Trying to hide it from people will make things worse, not better. It blows my mind that in moments like this, instead of thinking “right, we really need to stop the issues giving people cause for concern’ this government instead thinks ‘what we need to do, is control people even further’… Absolutely clueless.
Those who use social media to incite violence and disorder are breaking the law. Next week we will lay in Parliament an update to the Online Safety Act requiring services to take quicker action to remove illegal content circulating during times of crisis.

Shocking coincidence, another family who completely agrees with the government's messaging. What are the odds?!
🚨 NEW: The family of the Belfast attempted beheading victim has called for calm "We have many migrants who make a deeply valuable contribution to our country. We depend on them to make our country work. We do not want this terrible tragedy to be used to divide people"

How many of us are going to be sacrificed to this ridiculous experiment?

Unless, of course, they have jailbroken phones — which rather ruins the masterplan, doesn’t it? You really haven’t thought this through. Let’s see how many innocent parents get a knock on the door because their phone has misread bath-time photos as something sinister. That should go brilliantly.
Big Tech companies like Apple and Google have been given three months to activate built in safeguards on smartphones and tablets to detect and block nude images for children. This will prevent predators from exploiting and abusing victims through their devices, as well as stopping children accessing pornography. If companies do not act within three months, the government will bring forward legislation to force them to activate the technology. This will include fines for companies and, as a last resort, we are exploring criminal liability for tech bosses who fail to comply. 91% of online child sexual abuse reports recorded in 2024 contained self‑generated content. Children as young as five are being groomed, manipulated and coerced by online predators into creating and sharing explicit images. Predators then use these images to blackmail children into creating more extreme content and, in the most horrific cases, children have committed suicide on livestream or engaged in self‑harm. These features are not about surveillance or policing people’s phones - they are about protecting our children from vile predators. Over‑18s will still be able to view adult content by providing proof of age. There is no data collection, no monitoring and no reporting. The device will simply block harmful content across all apps and services. This will make Britain the first country in the world where it is impossible for children to take, share or view naked pictures on their devices.

Stop talking about Henry, stop talking about the rape gangs. You care about kids right? You simply must so stop focusing on that other stuff.
This government will not stand by while children are put at risk online. Today I am calling on the tech companies to introduce device-level controls to prevent children from taking, sharing or viewing nude images. And if they don’t act, we will.

Jess Phillips resigned from gvnt May 12 citing Starmer's failure to act on this specific measure. lbc.co.uk/article/keir-s… Technology like this requires blanket ID vertification to take vetted photos. Kids easily verify as adults rendering measures useless while curbing liberty for everyone else. eff.org/pages/uk-onlin… thedailyeconomy.org/article/califo…

"it has" No arrests. The police answer to him and not one person responsible for the cover up is in jail. Tweet in the wrong tone about girls being raped, sold and tortured and there's a knock at the door. Cover it up on an industrial scale and it's only lessons to be learned

Does the government seriously think that the UK public wakes up in the morning and awaits instruction on how to think and behave from Farage, Musk and Vance? These people don’t orchestrate public anger - they reflect it. They are a mouthpiece for the sentiments of the common man.

We really have reached Soviet levels of gaslighting. A man is murdered, and somehow, the real problem is that people are angry about it. Children are gang raped, and somehow the real problem is that people keep mentioning it and “dividing communities.” This is moral inversion. No. Crime divides communities. Institutional failure divides communities. Cover-ups, euphemisms, cowardice, and elite contempt divide communities.
Farage, of course, has form. He did it after the Southport murders. He’s doing it again after the murder or Henry Nowak. He looks to divide and destroy rather than unite and build.
