The campaign hunger games is all about fake stories on immigrants eating pets. But why is no one talking about solving the key problem: hunger. If you think the cost of eating is high, try the cost of not eating. Here’s my latest column for @gzeromediagzeromedia.com/gzero-north/t…
Thank you @NYCGreenfield@HispanicFed@CathCharitiesNY for giving voice to the need that continues to grow across the city with lessening support from the public sector. @NYCMayor needs to do the right thing and focus (and fund) food for the health of vulnerable New Yorkers! #
There’s a lot of chatter this morning about a lot of things, but we cant lose sight of what matters - helping the neediest.
That’s why we’re pushing w. @CathCharitiesNY@HispanicFed to ensure we have food for struggling New Yorkers.

It’s easy to support “the armed struggle” or the “crushing of Hamas” when you are doing neither the killing nor the dying. This conflict does not have a military solution. 100 years should be enough. Enough.
When someone shows you who they are, believe them!.... in a world of so much pain and suffering some #chefslead and others are just trying to trademark condiments ? #smhamp.theguardian.com/food/202…
The truth is @chefjoseandres & his @WCKitchen team, like any #chef knows, is simply making sure his customers (who these days happen to be millions across globe in harms way) get the service and food they need. We can do better and be better... Jose shows the way!
Today @WCKitchen reached 40 million meals in Gaza. With 67 kitchens, 3k
Palestinian team members…more than 1.5k trucks…5 warehouses…..sending food to the North….that’s what we do….Supporting Palestinians….nothing else and nothing more! #ChefsForGaza
I only sat down with Netanyahu once, in summer of 1991, he was first person I had ever heard say " from the river to the sea ..." and his peace averse political ideals have not changed one bit. Ty @SenSchumer
As a lifelong supporter of Israel, it has become clear to me:
The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7.
The world has changed radically since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision stuck in the past.
There is no cavalry coming. No miracle solution. No saviors.
In the end, we, the American people - not any of our institutions - have to save our democracy by voting in defense of that democracy this fall.
We are the cavalry. The responsibility is ours.
Hey @nypost , quit yer complaining! As a #chef who has worked on school food across the globe , ain't nobody do it better for our million school kids than @NYCSchools thanks to partnerships with @WITSinSchools and so many more !!! nypost.com/2024/02/09/metro/…
Hunger numbers grow after the holidays, and one of the city's most impactful food pantry nonprofits is celebrating a major move to Uptown in an effort to address that need. @tvjessi has the story. cbsloc.al/47MOYUO
Once again donors and the charity sector are being asked to step in when public sector can't or won't build a strong and sustainable budget that matches the needs and wants of New Yorkers. gothamist.com/news/anonymous… via @gothamist
A budget is a moral document. Just in time for the holidays our elected officials slashing services and at same time coming to non profit sector to "help" hand out holiday meals !!!! #smh via @NYTimes @emmagf nytimes.com/2023/11/16/nyreg…
"If there is a path forward toward peace — whether in two states or one state — it will begin with all of us moving beyond stereotypes. Israelis are not the same as Netanyahu, and Palestinians are not the same as Hamas. " @NickKristof nytimes.com/2023/11/15/opini…
