Until the store becomes empty and everyone realises that you created virtually nothing and was simply coasting along on the achievements of your predecessors. Last night, we admitted my grandmother to the Emergency Department at the Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills campus, as her condition is critical. However, I was disappointed to witness the situation in the emergency ward. Patients with various medical conditions are being treated there, and the current state of cleanliness and hygiene raises serious concerns. Such conditions could potentially increase the risk of infections, especially in an environment where vulnerable patients are receiving care. Given Apollo's reputation for excellence in healthcare, I believe this matter deserves the attention of the hospital's senior leadership and management team. On 22nd May 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the “redeveloped” Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad, Telangana. The redevelopment cost a whopping Rs 38 crore and was part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) where existing stations were given a facelift. After last night’s pre-monsoon rain in Hyderabad water was flowing through the ceilings and there was water logging everywhere. Begumpet Railway Station which was built by the Nizams in 1921 worked perfectly fine for decades. One “redevelopment” and it instantaneously transformed into a water theme park. Wah! Our leaders today are visionaries 🙏🏽
