Brown was released from the Travis County Jail in March after receiving a five-year deferred adjudication community supervision sentence following a negotiated plea of guilty for a felony indecent exposure in 2024, which also took place in West Campus.
He has a long list of other crimes.

AUSTIN MAN climbed onto a sleeping woman's bed, claimed he had a gun, and strangled her until she nearly blacked out. She gouged his eye and beat him with a fan to get him off her.
It was the third West Campus apartment Octavius Brown broke into that morning. In the other two, residents woke to find him exposing himself and masturbating inside their apartments.
Octavius Brown has roughly 30 cases since 2013. Of the 14 charges filed since 2021, 9 were dismissed or rejected.
Last time I covered this man he was getting arrested for robbing a gas station while out on bond for exposing himself and masturbating in public for the tenth time.

Why is @CBPCommissioner doing nothing about the 250,000 illegal aliens driving 80,000-pound trucks on our highways?
Most Americans don’t know this, but Border Patrol agents are perfectly equipped and trained for highway enforcement.
They have the authority, the vehicles, the systems, and the mission to identify fake documents, pull over unqualified drivers, and remove people who shouldn’t be here.
Yet they’re being kept out of the interior.
So either the Commissioner doesn’t know about this massive safety risk… or he doesn’t care.
Both answers are unacceptable.
This is willful neglect by design.
What’s the excuse?
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration acknowledges that there are at least 250,000 illegal immigrants driving trucks in America, many of whom aren’t trained to drive the vehicles, and don’t understand English.
