Started learning Rust while building @snapapi 🦀 Coming from Swift/iOS, the borrow checker humbles you FAST. But the performance reliability guarantees are worth every compiler error. Documenting the journey here. Who else is learning Rust in 2025? #rustlang #buildinpublic #100daysofrust

Guys, retweet your project under this with the pattern below; Day 1/100 ✅ Built my day 1 app i.e a Rust CLI app! Compiler rejected my code 10x before it worked 😅 But once it compiles, it WORKS! 🦀 or "your personal experience" Repo: github.com/M-Marcel/hello_ru… #100DaysOfRust

Day 2 to Day 6 of the #100DaysOfRust 🦀
I’ve not updated my page the past 9 days let me catch you guys up On Day 2 of the 100DaysOfRust 🦀 I Built a simple temperature converter in Rust today Along the way, I explored how Rust handles inputs, ownership, referencing, and borrowing.

Na wa. #100DaysOfRust Day 6: Learning pace is really slow. Learned about expressions vs statements in Rust, also learned control flow and a bit on Ownership.
16 Oct 2025
#100DaysOfRust Day 5: This should have been made yesterday but my days are getting warped into each other. Learned more on functions and variables.

Day 5 of #100daysofRust (I took a pause, lol.) Today, I looked into compound data types in rust - Tuples and Arrays, a bit different from typescript, weird (An array has a fixed length, tf?) I also learnt about Functions (fn), Statements & Expressions. We go again tomorrow!

Day 4 of #100daysofRust Today i learn briefly on the data types in rust. I'm quite unfamiliar with the unsigned and signed integers, bytes, bla bla bla, but today, I got a good understanding of it.

Started a 100 days of Rust challenge 🦀 🧵 Day 1 of #100DaysOfRust 🦀 Today I went beyond “Hello, world!” and explored the core building blocks of rust which included variables, data types, and loops. Here’s what I learned

#100DaysOfRust Day 4: Learned about matches, shadowing, & the let keyword mutability. Also had a rough overview of error handling. => Error messages in Rust are clear, love that.

#100DaysofRust Day 3: Learned about crates, and the input/output functionality Random: “template literals” in Rust can be in quotation marks, as opposed to the single in JS:

Day 3 of #100daysofRust On this segment, I learnt about variables, constants, mutability & immutability, shadowing. Doesn't seem much, but progress. LFG!

#100DaysOfRust Day 2: More on compilation and execution, syntax and semantics. Could not get to much, but would implement a proper guessing game function tomorrow.

#100DaysofRust Day 1: Decided to learn a new language; Rust. Wrote my first Hello World, and had a sneak peek into the syntax of Rust. Might have looked scary if i didn't already have background knowledge on C/CPP. The documentation of my learning process would get better!

Day 3 of #100daysofRust I just went over everything I learnt on Day 2, I couldn't do much because of work. We go again tomorrow, LFG.

Day 2 of #100daysofRust On this segment, I went through a chapter in the experimental rust book where "building a guess game" was covered. Learnt about; - crates - mutable & immutable variables (variables in rust are immutable by default, doesn't happen in the JavaScript ecosystem) - reading of lines in cli - rand package too (OmO) I still feel like going over the whole chapter and probably building more examples like this. I'd drop an update as it goes. LFG

Day 1 of #100daysofRust I learnt about the installation of Rust, lol. I also learnt a bit of the Syntax, always ending a line with ";", unnecessary in JavaScript. Declaring a function with "fn" instead of "function" in JavaScript, cool. Lastly I learnt about the cargo package manager, like "npm" in the JavaScript world, the default files that'd be created after creating a rust package with cargo, .toml (Tom's obvious, minimal language) file and the src folder. That's pretty much it, we go again tomorrow! LFG!
