Questions for Politicians & Election Candidates – Ukrainian Refugees - SCAM 1) General Policy & Capacity a) Martin boasted in Brussels how Ireland took in more than their fair share of Ukrainians refuges. He took in 5 times more per capita than other western EU countries and gave them the most benefits. His generosity with taxpayer money has no bounds. b) Most of the single men aren’t even Ukrainians they Asian and African and were never verified with the Ukrainian embassy. c) Asylum seekers came to Ireland claiming to the Ukrainians because of the benefits that asylum seekers don’t get/ 2) Ukraine is Safe a) Switzerland and Hungary won’t take in Ukrainian refugees from western Ukraine as they say it is safe there. There is a multi-billion ski resort being built there and Ukrainian tourism promote holidays in western Ukraine saying it is safe. b) Many Ukrainians go home to Ukraine on holidays, so they must regard it as safe. 3) Equality & Fairness a) Ukrainians that were working outside Ukraine before the war started, came to Ireland because of the free housing and generous benefits. b) Ireland undermines its neutrality by financing the war in Ukraine. c) Ukrainians have cars with no road tax and NCT. d) Ukrainians get benefits that the Irish don’t get. The Irish can’t get jobs and afford to live when Ukrainians get everything paid. e) Ukrainians had their pets flown in and get free kennelling and vets. 4) Housing & Public Services a) The government build temporary two-bedroom cabins costing €450k in towns where new conventional houses cost €300k. b) Free medical care and doctor appointments made in days when the Irish have to wait two weeks, and some can’t get doctors to take them on. c) None of the generous benefits were means tested. d) They work and get free accommodation, meals and other benefits.
