𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲! 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 #𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 Last year, OSDA led the #𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆& #𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁(#𝗚𝗖𝗘𝗔𝗣) in #Kenya, supported by IOM Kenya and World Vision Kenya. This wasn’t just about #ClimateAction, it was about transforming lives. In Dolaal, GubaKibir and Alikune, over 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀faced energy poverty and environmental challenges. We turned a problem into a solution by repurposing the invasive Prosopis species into #𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀. Through our training, 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵gained skills to create smokeless #Briquettes that burn longer, reduce forest dependence, and create #GreenJobs. For Fatuma, a young mother in Dolaal, the training was life-changing. “I never imagined that invasive wood could fuel both my stove and my livelihood,” she shared. Today, she’s one of many women leading #ClimateResilience efforts. To ensure long-term impact, we installed a Briquette Production unit in GarissaTownship, managed by local #YouthEmpowerment and #WomenLeaders. Over 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀have been distributed, providing families with #CleanEnergy and reducing environmental damage. This is proof that #Sustainability can empower communities and protect the planet.
