A KLM Airbus A321-252NX aircraft operating flight KL1583 suffered a tail strike during landing on runway 02 at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) on 16 June 2026.
The aircraft registered as PH-AXB, suffered damage to the empennage area leading to the aircraft being grounded at Lisbon for further assessment and repair

Un Airbus A321neo di KLM ha subito un tail strike durante l’atterraggio a Lisbona.
L’episodio è avvenuto il 16 giugno 2026 sul volo KL1583, partito da Amsterdam e diretto nella capitale portoghese. Il velivolo PH-AXB (poco più di un anno e mezzo di servizio) è atterrato sulla pista 02 dell’aeroporto di Lisbona, ha rimbalzato dopo il primo contatto con la pista e ha poi proseguito l’atterraggio.
Durante la manovra, la coda del velivolo ha toccato la superficie della pista: è il cosiddetto tail strike, un evento che può richiedere controlli tecnici accurati prima che l’aereo possa tornare in servizio.
Il rullaggio verso il piazzale è avvenuto senza ulteriori problemi, ma il volo di ritorno è stato cancellato. A circa 28 ore dall’atterraggio, l’aereo risultava ancora fermo a Lisbona.
