ALT Adoption. The silent part of you that impacts every part it touches. To someone who hasn’t been adopted they might not realise this but so much of my life revolves and has revolved around being adopted. Although there are struggles in life when you are adopted, I owe the fact that I got into my dream 6th form and have a job to the fact that I am adopted. If I had not spoken up about it, the chances I have had in life might not have happened.
ALT Going to the Adoptables gave me so many experiences and opportunities that I am so grateful for. It allowed me to develop my confidence through two drama productions and speaking on the corporate parenting panel. It gave me connections which allowed me to gain work experience and an apprenticeship at VSK which I graduated with a distinction. The life skills which VSK and the Adoptables helped me develop have led me to my job now which I am super happy in.
ALT Since leaving VSK I have made some amazing steps in my adoption journey and I have accessed my file and am in contact with almost all of my birth siblings and even went to stay with three of them Last December and my sister came to visit me for a shopping trip two weeks ago as of writing this. My adoption journey is not over yet but I would like to thank everyone at KCC who has supported me on the way!
