Here’s a bit of automotive financial advice not a lot of people know…the $100-$200 batteries last 1-3 years but the $300 Optima batteries last far longer…my new one has been 5 years so far, my one before that lasted 12 years.
So being cheap and spending $200 costs you a minimum of $800 where spending $300 upfront saves you a minimum of $500 not accounting for the increase in battery costs at the end of 12 years.
Also, AutoZone, AdvancedAutoParts, and Oreilly’s install newly purchased batteries for free…if you order online for store pickup you can often save 15-20% too. (Disclaimer: sometimes that discount excludes Optima batteries but the savings is built in so don’t worry)
My yellow was 12 yrs, Red is 5 yrs so far.
