the real test of a voice agent isn't poetry. it's reading a phone number. order IDs, confirmation codes, emails. this is where every TTS model falls apart. Sonic 3.5 has the best accuracy in the world on alphanumerics. and it speaks 42 languages including 9 indic ones. listen to this:

🚨 BREAKING: Big day for voice AI. @Cartesia just dropped Sonic 3.5 and @SarvamAI announced their $300M Series B - so I decided to put both to the test myself. Same scripts, side by side. The results are kind of insane. Sonic came out a leap ahead on emotion, alphanumerics, and switching across Indian languages mid-sentence. @krandiash grew up in Delhi, went to IIT Delhi, and constantly talks about how much he cares about building for India. Hard to argue he doesn't mean it 👇

Dad I simply do not know basic arithmetic. But I can count with anything besides decimal numerals, which makes me a mathematician in my eyes. But yes, "63", if I thought alphanumerics could bring me treasures more than the rather overwhelming amount they have already I'd counted.

My alphanumerics do not conform to your dysfunction. Zip it with your demands.

A.) I should standardize my use of alphanumerics. 2.) I'd like to take a moment to thank Mike Benz (a jew) for introducing me to the concept of narrative framing. Jews are giving us free lessons in their psychology. We should be taking advantage of their unpaid work. LEARN

I built a voice agent yesterday using Claude Code and AssemblyAI's new Voice Agent API. Pasted their docs in, prompted my way to a working prototype. Had a full conversation with it in under 30 minutes. Here's what actually surprised me: 1. One WebSocket connection, that's the whole integration Standard JSON. No proprietary SDK. No new billing dashboard. The setup is minimal enough that most devs ship a demo the same day. 2. Accuracy on the hard stuff Phone numbers. Order IDs. Alphanumeric codes. The things that make or break a real voice agent. Universal-3 Pro Streaming has a 16.7% error rate on alphanumerics vs. 23.3% for OpenAI and 25.5% for Deepgram. In production that gap shows up in failed completions. 3. $4.50/hr flat OpenAI Realtime API runs ~$18/hr billed per token. AssemblyAI is flat hourly, no per-token surprises. At any real volume, that math compounds fast. 4. Turn detection that doesn't cut you off Semantic and neural, not just silence detection. The agent can tell "I'm thinking" from "I'm done." Sounds like a small detail. Almost every other voice API gets this wrong. 5. Mid-session updates Change the system prompt, voice, or tools during the conversation without dropping the session. Very useful when you're iterating fast or handling dynamic workflows. Who this is actually for: -> Builders shipping lead qualification or appointment bots -> Teams building customer support agents at scale -> Devs adding voice to an existing LLM workflow without a full re-architecture -> Solopreneurs automating intake or outbound calls Get your API key free at assemblyai.com Link: assemblyai.com/dashboard/sig…

1️⃣➕1️⃣ 🟰 2️⃣ Transforming the way students experience Mathematics! Through the Hatua Ya Kwanza Programme under the Strathmore University Community Service Department, Phase 1 of the Maths Camp successfully ran from 27 April to 7 May 2026 across five schools in Kitui County, reaching approximately 1,370 Form 3, Form 4, and Grade 10 students. Supported by around 20 Strathmore volunteers and facilitators, the camp combined learning and fun through activities such as Quick Maths, Game 21, Magic Square, Counting Squares, and Alphanumerics, alongside physical activities, group problem-solving sessions, and daily reflection moments. The impact was evident in the students’ transformation. Across all five schools, learners rated the camp highly and described feeling “curious” rather than fearful when faced with difficult maths problems. What once was described as “troubling” became “my friend,” “my passion,” and even “my daily food.” At Hatua Ya Kwanza, we believe that changing mindsets can change futures; one learner, one school, and one community at a time. #HatuaYaKwanza #CommunityService #BecauseWeCare #BeMore

STEP 6 — Sort and attach CIDs. Four methods, by county: 1. Decimalize: prepend decimal, sort ascending, attach in AID order. 2. Alphanumeric: sort alpha then numeric; alphanumerics follow all numerics. 3. Combination: decimalize, then alphanumeric sort. 4. No modification.

4) Branta Integration — An industry-leading move to prevent address swaps when making payments to merchants. For the first time in history, see recipient logos in your wallet. After invoice, before payment. Manna Wallet turns QR codes into human-readable logos after scan, before send, because images > long alphanumerics. Zero-knowledge design means you see recipient logo, without leaking plaintext data about sender or receiver. Powered by @BrantaOps
3) New Watch-only Wallets — Solves POS/shop employee problem, easy management and great implementation. Employees can receive sats for your shop but can't send them. We had to build this from the ground up. They're unique to Manna - not a typical watch-only wallet. This was one of a couple main reasons this release took us as long as it did. We think you're really going to like them. They also pave the way for some cool features we've planned for your wrists.
