Jan 9, 2026 In São Bento do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil, in the Lençol neighborhood on Estrada Paraná, a cow grazing on elevated terrain behind a house walked onto the red-tiled roof of the property. Security camera footage captured the moment on or around June 2, 2026. The animal lost its footing, broke through part of the roof structure, slid and tumbled off the edge, and fell to the ground. After landing, the cow got up, shook itself off, and walked away unharmed. No people were injured in the incident. The terrain slopes upward directly behind the house, allowing the cow to access the roof from higher ground. Local news outlets in Santa Catarina reported the unusual incident in São Bento do Sul involving a cow that fell onto a house roof in the Lençol neighborhood. The owner of the cow has been contacted and is expected to assist with the roof repairs. The security footage shows clear details including broken tiles, falling debris, and the cow’s natural movements before and after the fall.
