On March 3rd 2020 I finished at my job of 3.5 years as a applicationsengineer making, aligning, fitting optics into UV gas spectrometers then calibrating them.. On March 4th 2020 Started in a sedentary vax lab job testing new vax delivery stamps. Why? In Jan 2020 I got Covid-19 At work From colleague in Lab who visitted sick MiL over NY 2019/20 in China and was allowed back to work without quarantining as hadn't stayed in Wuhan. Every one in workplace was off for two weeks then in walking wounded: I was on C-PAP 24/7 headache no taste/smell Cough Fever When I returned to work in Feb I couldn't cope with physicality of the job: Chest pain, stabbing central chest pain when moved carried stuff. POTS PEM ( It was #LongCovid: myocarditis and exertional angina on top of the POTs & PEM) I resigned as no more sick leave and not supportive boss. So worked notice and started a new less physical job in beginning of March. Even that was too much 3 weeks later as country locked down I couldn't be furloughed as had changed jobs so was put on sick leave SSP and then JSA for 6 months then nothing for 8 months Eventually once diagnosed with #LongCovid in July 2021 at a long covid clinic in Oxford I started long process of getting ESA & PIP finally getting it in Jan 2022. It took till July 2022 to get meds for POTS & myocarditis after private cardiologist in Harley Street did PET CT & contrast MRI showing long covid đź’”damage and ongoing myocarditis Till Nov 2024 to get angina meds for cardiac microvascular dysfunction leading to the exertional angina relieving most of daily stabbing chest pain when I walked... Till Jan 2026 to get strong enough Ranexa meds to stop the stabbing chest pain of angina All time gaslighted it was my lungs or anxiety or chest wall pain or poor breathing habits... So here I am 6 years later disabled life and career and health wrecked Covid has definately not been a fun holiday or joke and never was 250,000K people died of it in UK so far 50-150 still dying of covid every week of 2025/6 Still isn't It's a disabling disease 4M in UK have by now ( 3.1M by Mar 2024) and you have a 1 in 10 or more chance of getting it with each reinfection So FFP2 mask up indoors away from home especially in hospitals Till we get a long covid cure and clean indoor air like HoC, MOD, DoEd, Davos!

📣Welcome to the Team, Andrew! If Andrew looks familiar, that's because he spent last summer with us as a co-op, and we're excited to officially welcome him back as a full-time Applications Engineer. In his new role, Andrew will be managing our Performance Aftermarket product line, helping drive the development of our next generation of ECUs, wideband controllers, and other Performance Aftermarket products. He'll also be lending his expertise to tech support when needed, ensuring our customers continue to receive the service and technical assistance they've come to expect from Performance Electronics. Behind the scenes, Andrew will be involved in designing testers, completing design validation testing, and helping develop production test equipment to support both new and existing products. What makes Andrew a great fit for this role, besides his mechanical aptitude, is that his passion for engines, tuning, and motorsports extends well beyond the office. An avid autocrosser with several project cars, he's been using Performance Electronics products for years and comes to the team with firsthand experience and a deep understanding of both our products and our customers. Whether he's developing new products, supporting customers, or representing Performance Electronics at races and industry events, Andrew brings the perspective of both an engineer and an enthusiast. Please join us in welcoming Andrew to Performance Electronics! 🎉 #PerformanceElectronics #TeamPE #WelcomeToTheTeam #ApplicationsEngineer #Engineering #PerformanceAftermarket #ProductDevelopment #Motorsports #MadeInUSA
