Remanufacturing plays a vital role in extending #ProductLifecycles and reducing waste, but its success depends on how effectively information flows across the value chain. In this research, the role of #DigitalProductPassports in #Remanufacturing is evaluated and tested through a #DigitalThread architecture in a controlled, real-world-simulated setting. Some key insights: 🟣 DPPs can significantly reduce cycle times by minimising variability in quality control. 🟣 There are potential environmental and social trade-offs that need deeper investigation. 🟣 To fully unlock DPPs’ potential, protocols for sustainable use must be developed.
