➤ Luis Vaello Garcia -
@wardenprotocol co-founder
// early years and education
@luisvae was born in spain, studied at el plantio (international baccalaureate in science & business, 2000-2002). then universidad católica de valencia - administración y dirección de empresas with focus on international marketing. from 2010 he started his career in tech and business, not directly in crypto at first
// path to operations management (2010-2015)
2010-2016 » store manager at movilsat centro tecnológico
2011-2016 » international business development manager at reciclafon (coordinated projects across asia, europe, africa)
2016 » vice president at avalbit (valencia bitcoin association)
this was his pivot moment into crypto
// the bitnovo era - becoming an operator (2015-2020)
this is where he took off. 4 years at bitnovo as coo - this was a serious company, not some random startup. handled operations day in day out, partnership strategy, kyc/aml processes. bitnovo made prepaid debit cards for crypto through 30k shops across europe (carrefour, fnac, worten)
in parallel with bitnovo he held a position at bitsa (electronic money account with visa and crypto, 2019-2020)
// regional director at binance (2020-2021)
here he hit the big league. binance brought him on as regional director for iberia and eu markets. his main target - launching binance card and growth. spain and latin america - thats where he built the ecosystem. this was hard scale - not startup vibes, but network building with serious capital behind it
// qredo: operations and marketing (2021-2024)
qredo was another step up the ladder. he was there as vp of marketing & operations, then head of operations. qredo is an open custody protocol - complex infrastructure stuff. he learned there how enterprise crypto works
//
@wardenprotocol : co-founder & coo (february 2024 - now)
he came in as co-founder (not just hired management). this matters. alongside david pinger (ex-binance, ex-uber),
@JoshGoodbody (ex-binance, ex-huobi), antonio pitasi (ex-tendermint) and dr. michele dallachiesa (ex-google, ex-nasa)
his role - operations and scaling. in a year and a half they pulled 6.5m users and 350k dau. so hes directly responsible for this actually working
i would like to express my sincere gratitude to
@luisvae for your tremendous contribution to the development of
@wardenprotocol !!!
