The BPRC PPR Learning Session in Rwanda strengthened the capacity of stakeholders to detect and respond to public health threats through improved community surveillance, risk communication, infection prevention and control, emergency coordination, and the One Health approach.
The session resulted in concrete country-level commitments and action points aimed at strengthening community-led preparedness. By advancing meaningful community participation and leadership, stakeholders reaffirmed that resilient health systems are built when communities are empowered to shape, drive, and sustain preparedness efforts before, during, and after public health emergencies.
