I could see the reason why people usually say that women are ‘hot.’ I knew that she had been drinking. But I still did not have the heart to stop her. "There are certain moments in our lives we never know that it is the start of a journey that we haven't particularly planned out to happen. People have said to take time off from their routine to rediscover themselves. In my case, it is not rediscovery but the discovery. I didn't take time off, but the COVID lockdown triggered a thought of doing something different to keep up with the time. I naturally started to write short stories and kept pushing boundaries within and around me. It is always better to act on things and figure out a way to expand than dream about it and wait for a perfect situation to start. I acted on my inner thoughts and gave those thoughts momentum and belief. But if someone asks me whether there is any particular moment I realized I wanted to be a writer, I always wanted to be one, but I finally had the time to peek beyond the usual. "Writing the flashback for one of my main characters, not the main one, though, turned out to be the trickiest part. I started with loads of details, but then I thought, how long can I keep it going without the lead characters? When my beta readers echoed the same, I knew it needed a rewrite. This flashback is crucial for the overall story, but deciding how much detail to spill was a head-scratcher. I've lost count of how many times I had to redo it and how tough the editing got. Editing itself is a beast, but chopping off a few chapters or cramming a bunch into a couple? That's a whole new level. I go to bed with it on my mind, and the nightmares about plot twists gone wrong are the worst. What makes it even harder is that this flashback taps into many real-life childhood memories of mine. But for the sake of the plot, I had to cut it down to the essentials, even if it meant letting go of some sweet details—tough choices, real tough." . . . . Belief is more like trusting the phenomenon that there will be an answer to all the mysteries, and till we get the answer, let us keep the trust and faith in our creator. This realization makes me seek answers where possible and ask questions wherever possible, yet keeps me grounded, not to dismiss anything that we cannot explain yet.
