On Saturday, the inaugural @daytonaio HackSprint brought San Francisco's AI builder community together, and what the community built in just six hours was incredible 💪 Our Solutions Architect, Vyoma Gajjar, was onsite where she awarded the following builders for the best use of Galileo: 1️⃣ BioScout by Mahtabin Rodela – Connects biotech investors with emerging research and patents, making discovery faster and more accessible. 2️⃣ Smart Treasury Agent by @nicocapetillo – An AI copilot for CFOs that simulates treasury strategies in real time, bringing sophisticated financial modeling to more companies. 3️⃣ Peazy Trainer by Kushal Murthy & Komala Chenna – A voice-guided AI trainer that teaches software through live, hands-on sandboxes. Each team excelled using evaluations and observability to understand agent behavior, catch errors early, and ship reliable agents. Huge congrats to all three winners, and thank you to everyone who participated. The quality of work, the collaboration, and the energy in the room reminded us why we love this community. #scfsfd2025 at Kendenup finished with an afternoon walk out to the multi-trial paddock where we heard from a range of presenters. @LiamGuthrie9 spoke alongside Commodity Ag's Casey & Scott on growing & marketing Faba beans, Ben Parkin showed us @Syngenta's comprehensive fungicide trial for blackleg and sclerotinia control in canola while Nola D'Souza from @theCCDM updated us on canola disease work. @DPIRDbroadacre's Andrea Hills & Nicky Tesoriero gave us an introduction to the HiRES project, which SCF is excited to be a part of and we viewed SCF's large multi-crop and rotation trial. We heard from @MurdochUni's Dr Tianhua He & @Farmanco's Holly Mackie on the agronomics of growing oats in the HRZ, and were shown the BioScout unit for spore trapping for smarter disease management decisions by Kith Jayasena from @DPIRDbroadacre to round out the day! It was amazing to be able to view so many trials in the one place and is the fulfilment of a long time SCF aim to be able to showcase south coast ag research in the one place! The BioScout spore count/load @theGRDC support is here new.bioscout.com.au/welcome/… and is very useful for watching problem diseases build through the growing season so disease management can be better planned and executed. If we could @theGRDC get a few more of these in the western NSW wheat belt it would be a great early waning for stripe rust (i.e., location matters).
