I spoke a lot about politicized science as the NON science - even if it is peer published, it still is BULLSHIT! "Trust the science" they said... NO questions asked, there is consensus... this was however scientism, a neo-lyssenkism that is dangerous to humanity and free thinking and TRUE scientific work Scientism is perverted Science - misused for political purposes, and usually NOT for our well being What we have been hearing - for 40 years in "climate science" and - in "microbiology and vaccinology' since 2019, - in epidemiology and biostatistics of the RNA's since 2021, - and in AI being preternatural, - or even in Quantum computing is scientism (not science) and it is using scene terminology and HIJACK it for other goals than understanding, such goals being POLITICAL, SOCIETAL, or COMMERCIAL - it never was actual scientific work 2. Basic scientism is the belief that science (especially natural science) is the only practice that can attain truth; strong scientism links this to the belief that the aims of science (attaining truth and eliminating error) have intrinsic and overriding value—an attitude that Nietzsche calls “the unconditional will to truth.” This chapter explores how both Nietzsche and James describe scientism, in both its basic and strong forms, as displaying core characteristics of fanaticism, as they understand it: basic scientism involves a narrowness of interests and perspective that they both associate with fanaticism; and strong scientism involves a faith in the value of truth that places it beyond question, and expresses the need for certainty born of weakness that Nietzsche identifies as the cause of fanaticism. 4. Next time you are aggressed by one of those stupid intellectual weakling - tell them to shove it, and label them for WHO they truly are "lyssenkists" Science actually progresses by refutation of what we already know.. design or make THE expereiemt that will KILL your hypothesis, it the data cannot for , then kill the hypothesis, .. and if the new data does NT destroy your hypothesis.. GOOOOOD.. try harder... kill it, with a NOVEL experiment... What remains at the end, is not the "truth" but a consolidated moment in time,.. that may last for long or just one month.. until the NEXT refutation.
