Sausage gravy for me. My son loves biscuits and chocolate gravy. In our first house, my bride (to be at that time) actually burned water. Her first attempt at sausage gravy ended up a loaf. She ran out of flour and to thicken it she added Bisquick. 😬😂❤️
My mom would make chicken and dumplings with this and Bisquick for the dumplings. Not because she didn't know how to cook, but it was cheap and quick. Loved it as a kid. I have even made it a time or 2 when I was broke too.
Yes not a huge fan of bisquick

And thanks for your help with the sourdough.
Again I’m just a fumbly man asking.
Wife has done dumplings a few time lately and they failed every time. Always a lump of dough
She’s flustered and trying different ways. Using Bisquick
I have a friend (banjo picker) He makes fresh , flakey, biscuits from scratch every morning. Hunk of butter. Strawberry preserves... Half gallon of strong black coffee made in a French press.
I've never made a decent biscuit in my life. My ovens have been broken for ten years.
My chicken and dumplings are rather questionable. Made with Bisquick and eyed with suspicion by Texas women. 😂
And while we're at it - the Scott needs to pick up a box of Bisquick and some shredded cheddar and Jimmy Dean and give these bad boys a go... also, some jalapenos and some shredded pepper jack is pretty good, too.

Peel them, slice them, then throw in the freezer. Can make banana bread, smoothies, bananas foster, or cinnamon rolls ( add 1 mashed banana to Bisquick, knead, roll, add sugar/butter/cinnamon, then roll up and slice), etc. later.

My mom (RIP) made the best apple coffee cake. Years after she died I asked my aunt if she might know this wonderful recipe. I had to have it. My kids would love it.
“Yes! It’s on the back of the Bisquick box!”
