Major news agencies attempted to verify the story by contacting Axios and the Pentagon, but they have responded saying they have nothing to provide. Zero public evidence: no satellite imagery, no drone debris, and no financial receipts. Even U.S. officials openly admit Cuba poses zero offensive danger.  We have seen this playbook before, most notably Colin Powell's 2003 claims about the alleged WMD in Iraq. The US tries to gaslight the world into supporting its imperialist wars.  Coupled with the recent indictment of Raúl Castro, it is clear these unverified claims are a calculated political attack, part of Trump's broader campaign of a "friendly takeover."  Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez calls this a "fraudulent case" to justify economic ‌sanctions and potential military intervention.  ✊ Sovereignty for the Cuban people! Largely Batista dictatorship loyalists, they were intent on crushing the then-two-year-old revolution.  Cuba defeated the Bay of Pigs (Playa Girón) invasion in 72 hours – the first US military defeat in Latin America. While the Geneva Convention's Law of Armed Conflict prohibits targeting civilian infrastructure, the US and Israel (notably the Dahiya doctrine military strategy) carry out domicide intentionally and systematically. 🚨 Yesterday, Trump signed an executive order declaring “national emergency” to expand economic warfare against Cuba. But the peoples of the world know that Latin America and the Caribbean are a Zone of Peace! 🇨🇺 Cuba’s “threat”? It has shown the world that humanity IS capable of building a society that centers dignity and sovereignty. It has one of the highest rates of home-ownership and women’s political participation in the world. Its Family Code is among the most progressive on the planet, expanding protections for women, children, elders, and LGBTQIA people. Cuba built a society based on peace and the constant pursuit of human well-being. This vote comes as Hurricane Melissa hits the Caribbean, worsening the economic, structural, and living conditions of the Cuban people. For over six decades, U.S. imperialism has enforced a genocidal policy aimed at suffocating and paralyzing Cuba, deeply affecting its socioeconomic development. The blockade impacts every aspect of daily life and has intensified in recent years. Since 1992, the United Nations General Assembly has voted annually on a resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba.
