📢 On this 14 June, the anniversary of the birth of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, we announce to Our America the ratification of our 4th CONTINENTAL ASSEMBLY OF ALBA MOVEMENTS: One Hundred Years Walking with Fidel, to be held in Havana, Cuba, from 6 to 9 August. We reaffirm Che as one of the biggest exponents of internationalism and call on all militants of our organisations to take an active part in the final stage of preparations for our highest organisational gathering. Our Assembly seeks to prefigure a continent free from imperialist domination, where the only things incompatible with its peoples are misery, exploitation, discrimination and subjugation. We will gather in revolutionary Cuba, at a particularly difficult moment, to reaffirm our active solidarity with a people who resists the threatening of the blockade and the threats of the United States government. We move forward together, heirs to the struggles of our peoples, to definitively plant the seed of a new America. As José Martí said: Those who stand with Cuba today stand for all time! #4thALBAAssembly #ALBAMovements #CheGuevara #Cuba #Internationalism #OurAmerica #OneHundredYearsWalkingWithFidel

⚽ Soccer is much more than just a sport. Throughout the history of the World Cup, matches have pitted against each other nations marked by wars, territorial disputes, colonial histories, and political conflicts. From Argentina vs. England to Iran vs. the U.S., the field has become a space where rivalries and geopolitical tensions also play out. In a world shaped by capitalism, soccer is not isolated from politics, history, and economic interests. Understanding the sport also means understanding the power dynamics that run through society.

🇵🇸 JUSTICE FOR DR. HUSSAM ABU SAFIYA Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya is a Palestinian doctor from northern Gaza. He was born in Jabalia refugee camp in 1973. He is a pediatrician and neonatologist, and served as the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, one of the last hospitals that remained operational in the north during the genocide. The Zionist occupation arrested Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya on December 27, 2024, after raiding Kamal Adwan Hospital and forcibly evacuating it. During the siege of the hospital, the Zionist occupation killed his son Ibrahim in a bombing/targeted attack near or around the hospital in late October 2024. Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya prayed over his son and buried him in the hospital courtyard, then returned to continue his medical work despite the siege and bombardment. The Zionist occupation is currently holding Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya in harsh conditions and has denied him necessary medical treatment, amid human rights reports documenting his ill-treatment, torture, and deteriorating health. In June 2026, Israeli prison authorities transferred him to solitary confinement after nearly 17 months of detention without charge; his lawyer learned of the transfer during a visit conducted on June 4, 2026. #PoliticalRightsForPalestinians #FreePalestinianPrisoners #ArmsEmbargoNow #FreePalestine #BDS

🚨🇵🇸  11 international activists and doctors who were part of the Global Sumud Land Convoy and were bringing  humanitarian aid to Gaza have been detained in Benghazi, Libya by militias loyal to Khalifa Haftar. The activists were reportedly abducted and beaten, some to the point of unconsciousness. They are being held with severely limited access to legal, diplomatic, and family support. Ten of the detainees have been on a dry hunger strike since June 1, protesting their conditions. Western governments are quick to find solutions with Libyan authorities when it comes to preventing refugees from entering, but remain completely indifferent when it comes to freeing activists who sought to break the genocidal blockade of Gaza. 🌍✊ Protests are taking place at Libyan embassies and foreign ministries around the world, calling on Libyan authorities to immediately free them. 📢 Free the Sumud activists! 📢 Break the siege on Gaza! 📢 Free Palestine! #GlobalSumud #FreePalestine #CeasefireNow #Gaza #ArmsEmbargoNow

🇨🇺 As Trump intensifies sanctions and openly threatens to take over Cuba, the world is showing that Cuba is not alone!  In recent weeks, organizations across the world have personally delivered solidarity letters to Cuban embassies. From Pakistan to Benin to Australia, workers’ parties, youth organizations, and movement leaders are condemning the escalating US aggression on the island. We stand with them in the global call to defend Cuba’s sovereignty, dignity, and socialist project. 📣 Protest US aggressions at US embassies, consulates and public places and stand in solidarity with the Cuban people. Cuba has stood with the peoples of the Global South for generations: hosting the Tricontinental Conference, sending doctors after earthquakes and pandemics, training working-class students through free medical education, and proving that another world is possible even under siege.  The struggle for Cuba is inseparable from the struggle against imperialism everywhere. SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA @tri_continental  #HandsOffCuba #LetCubaLive #EndTheEmbargo #CubaNoEstaSola #InternationalSolidarity

🎨 CALL FOR ART! FIDEL: 100 YEARS = 100 POSTERS "Our enemy is imperialism, not abstract art." ~Fidel Castro 🇨🇺 Cuba's revolutionary OSPAAAL artists drew from abstraction, pop art, Afro-Cuban symbolism, psychedelia, constructivism, and popular culture. What had once been the tools of advertising were repurposed into weapons of international solidarity against imperial domination. Amid blockade and material scarcity, Cuban artists developed new visual languages that carried revolutionary ideas worldwide. The posters from the Tricontinental magazine would appear not only in galleries, but in factories, schools, neighborhoods, villages, and homes, making Cuba's revolutionary posters a living part of daily life. As we approach the 100th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth, we celebrate his vision that revolutions are fought not only with politics and organization, but also with culture in the battle of ideas. @utopix_cc @thetricontinental @peoples.assambly @alba_movimientos @institutosimonbolivar_ve @youngsocialistartist @panafricanismtoday

🇻🇪 Free Maduro and Cilia! Sovereignty for Venezuela!  In São Paulo, ALBA Movements @alba_movimientos the IPA @peoples.assembly and MST @movimentosemterra with @fluxuz_ @laserderua lit up the skyline with a projection, saying “Trump Out of Latin America and the Caribbean,” “Respect Venezuelan Sovereignty,” and “Free Maduro & Cilia Now!” It has been 151 days since the US violently abducted Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores and bombed Caracas, killing 100 people on January 3. They remain detained as political prisoners at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, with hearings repeatedly postponed.  Meanwhile, the US has secured millions of barrels of Venezuelan oil, a seizure that has amplified the devastating fuel blockade on Cuba, as Trump threatens a "friendly takeover” of the island.  Trump's crimes of aggression cannot continue to go unanswered! This is a decisive moment for all of Latin America, as the Donroe Doctrine intensifies and consolidates. Beyond his targeting of Cuba and Venezuela, the Shield of the Americas, Isaac Accords, Digital Social Twin, and Hondurasgate leaks all demonstrate how the US, with Israel and Argentina, are coordinating an offensive against Latin America's sovereignty. Despite the abduction and all the ways the US seeks to stifle the will of the peoples, those same people continue to defend sovereignty in the streets, calling for the freedom of their democratically-elected leaders.  Popular movements express their warmest solidarity with the Venezuelan people who, like their president, find themselves held hostage by US imperialists. Throughout Latin America, from Cuba to Venezuela, we say:  TRUMP OUT OF OUR TERRITORIES! 📌 Read João Pedro Stédile's article: ipa-aip.org/2026/06/03/why-w…  #FreeMaduro #FreeCilia #HandsOffVenezuela #Sovereignty #AntiImperialism

🇮🇳🇱🇰🇮🇷 For decades, Iran and India maintained deep historical, economic, and political ties. Iran supplied energy to India, supported regional cooperation, and helped open trade routes to Central Asia through Chabahar Port.  But today, India’s ruling elites are drawing closer to the US and Israel, while abandoning traditions of non-alignment and solidarity with Palestine and the Global South. India’s growing subordination to US strategy threatens not only regional peace, but also India’s own sovereignty, economy, and future development. This serves corporate and geopolitical interests, not ordinary people.  From Gaza to the Indian Ocean, militarism and economic coercion are reshaping Asia. But the peoples of the region continue resisting war, imperialism, and dependency. 🇮🇷 It has been 73 years since the US shattered Iranian democracy and sovereignty by orchestrating the 1953 coup d'état.  This catastrophic intervention initiated an endless cycle of Western aggression, local resistance, structural retaliation, and escalation, through decades of puppet dictatorships, terror, massacres, economic blockades, cyber warfare, and assassinations. Today, Iran remains under military siege and economic strangulation, devastating civilian infrastructure, collectively punishing populations, and spreading violence to surrounding regions.  Thousands of Iranians have been killed and over 3.2 million have been displaced, as the US attempts to maintain its global hegemony by violently targeting sovereign nations.  We must defend sovereignty.  Hands off Iran.

✊🏾 Today marks 63 years of African Liberation Day, commemorating the official founding of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963.  🌍 Although colonial borders, neocolonial economic domination, and wars seek to fragment us, the African people, on the continent and in the diaspora, know that liberation lies in African unity. 🔥 From #CapetoCairo, trade unions, peasant movements, youth networks, women's collectives, and political formations commit to revolutionary Pan-Africanism.  📣 End imperialist aggression in the Sahel; hold profiteers accountable for wars in the Congo and Sudan; support national and popular liberation in Western Sahara and Swaziland; dismantle economic subjugation; and build systems that center people and the planet over profit. 🌐 Share this post and join the international call for full emancipation of Africa.  #PanAfricanism #AfricaUnite #AfricanLiberationDay #AfricaDay #ForwardtoSocialism

🚨 Trump and the US government are preparing to start another war. This time against the Cuban people. Trump claims that Cuba poses a threat to US and regional security yet we know that this is false and part of a campaign to manufacture consent for an unprovoked war.  At the same time, the US is increasing its military presence around Cuba. US aggressions are unjustified and are part of an imperialist campaign to reconquer Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the Trump Corollary of the Monroe Doctrine.  📣The IPA calls on anti-imperialist and people’s organizations world wide to take action to protest US aggressions at US embassies, consulates and public places and stand in solidarity with the Cuban people. May 29 - June 2!

🇵🇭🇰🇷🇯🇵🇻🇳 From Korea to Vietnam, Okinawa to the Philippines, the peoples of Asia know the true cost of war, occupation, and foreign military domination. That’s why we say: HANDS OFF ASIA! For decades, movements across the Asia-Pacific have resisted US militarism, nuclear testing, military bases, and intervention. From the 1952 Asia-Pacific Peace Conference in Beijing to the Philippines’ expulsion of US bases in 1991, generations have fought for sovereignty, peace, and self-determination. Today, as the US expands bases, troop deployments, and military alliances across the region under a New Cold War strategy targeting China, these histories of resistance have become more urgent than ever. Vietnam’s victory against US war and occupation remains one of the most important reminders that even the most powerful empires can be defeated. As Ho Chi Minh said: “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom.” 📌 Visit the Hands Off Asia campaign page: ipa-aip.org/campaign/hands-o…

🇳🇵Nepal’s March 2026 elections and the defeat of its traditional communist parties remind us that people want results, not just slogans and promises. Throughout the last half century, Nepal’s people’s movements transformed a web of feudalism into a federal democratic republic, with a popular Nepal Communist Party-led government in 2017. Although the government had the people’s mandate, the ruling party lacked ideological clarity. They failed to articulate clear positions on structural issues such as control over the means of production and the role of the state. Unable to advance collective farming and economic self-reliance, and to protect national sovereignty against US-backed military engagements, the NCP failed to meet the peoples’ real needs – especially the younger generation's concerns of employment, digital infrastructure, and climate change.  The government collapsed before the end of its five-year term due to the leadership’s arrogance, ego, and unilateral style, leaving the movement at a crossroads and generational divide.  With newly emerged populist forces having taken a two-third majority, this wake-up call urges Nepal’s left to break the cycle of comprador capitalism and reconnect with a generation that values results over slogans.  VIEW FULL CAROUSEL: IG: instagram.com/p/DYpslVAlmcy FB:  📌 Follow more stories from Asia by signing up for the Tricontinental Asia newsletter: thetricontinental.org/asia/s…  Visit the Hands Off Asia campaign page: ipa-aip.org/campaign/hands-o…

🇨🇺 The International Peoples’ Assembly stands firmly with the Cuban people at this decisive moment. The U.S. is threatening a military takeover, dramatically escalating its campaign against Cuban sovereignty.  President Trump has publicly stated that Cuba is "next" for a "friendly takeover,” and that he would be "happy to do it." Beyond the severe energy blockade, Cuba is facing intelligence-gathering flights, fraudulent media accusations of Russian and Iranian drone purchases, and the bogus indictment of 94 year-old former president, Raúl Castro.  For generations, the Cuban people have faced sabotage, invasion attempts, assassination plots, terrorism, and collective punishment for daring to defend their sovereignty, and a system that places people before profits.  Cuba continues to resist and provide solidarity to the world, with dignity. Cuba is not alone! The people stand with Cuba! #HandsOffCuba #LetCubaLive #CubaNoEstaSola #EndTheEmbargo #InternationalSolidarity

🇱🇧🇮🇷🇨🇺🇻🇪 From Lebanon to Iran, Cuba to Venezuela, nations refusing submission to U.S.-Israeli domination are facing airstrikes, sanctions, siege, destabilization, and open threats of regime change. Lebanon faces ongoing occupation, airstrikes, and attacks on civilians despite repeated ceasefire agreements. Iran remains under military siege and economic strangulation as Washington threatens renewed war if Tehran refuses surrender. Cuba continues to endure one of the longest blockades in history, now intensified through fuel restrictions and threats of intervention. Venezuela has faced bombing, sanctions, and the continued detention of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores following. These illegal attacks on sovereign nations do NOT bring “security”, “democracy”, “stability”, or “human rights” to any population. They starve populations, devastate civilian infrastructure, and force independent nations into submission as the U.S. attempts to mantain its global hegemony. As the Global South rises, the pressure intensifies. Hands off Lebanon. Hands off Iran. Hands off Cuba. Hands off Venezuela. Defend sovereignty. Self-determination is not negotiable.

🇨🇺 We will not be gaslighted by western media!  On May 17th, 2026, Axios – an US news website – claimed that Cuba had purchased 300 drones from Russia and Iran, causing a frenzy of media outlets publishing headlines like “Cuba Considers Striking the US with Iranian and Russian Drones in an Emergency." Major news agencies attempted to verify the story by contacting Axios and the Pentagon, but they have responded saying they have nothing to provide. Zero public evidence: no satellite imagery, no drone debris, and no financial receipts. Even U.S. officials openly admit Cuba poses zero offensive danger.  We have seen this playbook before, most notably Colin Powell's 2003 claims about the alleged WMD in Iraq. The US tries to gaslight the world into supporting its imperialist wars.  Coupled with the recent indictment of Raúl Castro, it is clear these unverified claims are a calculated political attack, part of Trump's broader campaign of a "friendly takeover."  Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez calls this a "fraudulent case" to justify economic ‌sanctions and potential military intervention.  ✊ Sovereignty for the Cuban people! The island's socialist legacy, international solidarity, and cultural significance cannot be overstated. We stand with Cuba, as Cuba has always stood with the peoples of the Global South. #HandsOffCuba #DonroeDoctrine  #MediaLiteracy  #BlockTheBlockade  #EndtheEmbargo

🇧🇴The Bolivian people continue to mobilize against the U.S.-backed far-right government of Rodrigo Paz.  For more than two weeks, workers, campesinos, Indigenous peoples, miners, teachers, and transport workers have carried out mass protests against privatization of electricity, water, fuel, and other essential services, as well as austerity, rising prices, and the deepening economic and political crisis. Demonstrators are being labeled as “destabilizers” linked to narcotrafficking. The mobilizations are facing murderous repression, with thousands of police and military forces deployed.  Despite the arrests, injuries, and killings, the mobilizations continue, demanding dignity, economic justice, sovereignty, and the resignation of a government they say does not represent them. Solidarity with the peoples of Bolivia!

🇨🇳 Trump – alongside executives from Apple, Tesla, BlackRock, Boeing, and Nvidia – concluded his meeting in Beijing with Xi Jinping. This was the first US state visit to China in nine years.  While this may appear to be a thaw between Washington and Beijing, US imperialist actions speak otherwise.  Sanctions continue, arms deals advance, and new military deployments deepen. The US continues expanding its military architecture across Asia: a “kill web” is linking Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, alongside war exercises, sanctions, and arms packages aimed to surround China.  This hyperimperialist military expansion follows the US’s failed economic containment of China. US corporations remain dependent on the Chinese market, while Trump’s failed tariff war against China ended up hurting its own economy and people. Sanctions and tariffs have resulted in China diversifying export markets, strengthening supply chain autonomy, and deepening ties across the Global South. 🔗 Read the full Globetrotter article by Tings Chak of the Tricontinental here: portal.globetrotter.media/20…  📌 Visit the Hands Off Asia campaign page: ipa-aip.org/campaign/hands-o…  #HandsOffAsia #NoNewColdWar #Asia #Geopolitics #AntiWar

🇵🇸 From the 1948 Nakba to today, Israeli prisons have functioned as a central tool of occupation, shaping Palestinian daily life, and intending to squash political organization and resistance across generations. What began in the 1948 Nakba detention camps developed into a structured military prison system based on mass arrests, administrative detention, and the routine incarceration of children, activists, and entire communities. For decades, Israeli prisons have functioned as an integral mechanism of repression by the Israeli state and, at the same time, have become a space for the political education of prisoners, where hunger strikes, collective organizing, and resistance inside cells became central to Palestinian political life, powerfully informing the global struggle for its liberation. Today, mass arrests and the passage of “Death Penalty Law” represent an escalation of the Zionist carceral system. For Palestinians, this issue is not merely humanitarian, but deeply political. The prison has become a microcosm of the Palestinian condition under settler colonialism.
