Windowsの起動が異常に遅くなる問題、ひとまず原因がかなり絞れました。 結論から言うと、僕の環境ではNortonを入れると起動が大きく遅くなり、Nortonを削除すると元の速度に戻る、という結果になりました。 最初は「Windowsを入れ直したばかりなのに、なぜ起動が遅いのか」というところから始まりました。イベントビューアーの Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance/Operational を見ながら、Event ID 100 の起動ログを追っていくと、最初は SessionInitOtherDuration が約284秒まで伸びていて、起動全体で5分以上かかっていました。 これは最終的に、 powercfg /h off で改善しました。高速スタートアップ / 休止状態 / hiberfil.sys 周辺の不整合だった可能性が高く、これで一度は起動が20〜30秒台まで改善しました。 ところがその後、必要なソフトを入れ直していく中で、また起動が2分以上かかるようになりました。 そこでもう一度 Event ID 100 を追うと、今度は前回とは違って SessionInitOtherDuration は約2秒台のまま。代わりに Session1InitDuration が約110秒まで伸びていました。 実測値としてはこんな感じです。 Norton導入時: BootTime 約141〜142秒 BootSmssInitTime 約115秒 Session1InitDuration 約110秒 Norton削除後: BootTime 約31〜35秒 BootSmssInitTime 約9〜10秒 Session1InitDuration 約0.5秒 さらに fltmc filters を確認すると、Norton導入時には以下のフィルターが出ていました。 nllSP nllMonFlt nllSnx Norton削除後はこれらが消え、同時に起動時間も約30秒台へ戻りました。 なので、僕の環境ではNortonのミニフィルタドライバ周辺が起動時の Session1InitDuration を大きく伸ばしていた可能性がかなり高い、という判断です。 一応、誤解のないように書いておくと、「Nortonを入れると全員のPCが遅くなる」と言いたいわけではありません。あくまで僕のPC環境、Windows 11、ASRock B550 Steel Legend、複数ストレージ構成、再インストール後の環境で起きた現象です。 ただ、数字としてはかなりはっきり出ています。 Nortonあり: 約142秒起動 Nortonなし: 約32秒起動 Nortonにも、Event ID 100の実測値、fltmc filters の結果、Norton導入時と削除後の比較を送っています。一次サポートでは起動マネージャの案内がありましたが、今回の問題はログイン後のスタートアップではなく、ログオン前のSession初期化部分なので、技術担当へエスカレーションしてもらう流れになりました。 PCが遅いとき、「なんとなく重い」ではなく、Event ID 100を見てどこで止まっているか確認するとかなり見え方が変わります。 今回学んだのは、 ・高速スタートアップが壊れると5分級の起動遅延になることがある ・セキュリティソフトのフィルタドライバでログオン前に遅くなることがある ・体感ではなく Event ID 100 の数値を見ると原因を切り分けやすい ・アプリを片っ端から消すより、どのフェーズが遅いかを見る方が大事 というあたりです。 いまはNortonを外した状態で、起動は30秒台まで戻っています。Norton側から技術担当の回答待ちです。 @NortonJapan @Norton

SB runs at the UEFI firmware level, only allowing signed drivers and Kernels to load. User accounts and telemetry happen entirely in userspace. There's no way for userspace to enforce or substitute for boottime UEFI. These are completely different things doing different jobs.

No the difference is that vanguard runs at startup before all the OS services have even started. You can close and run vanguard on demand after that but running at boottime filters out a lot of sneaky stuff cheaters rely on. Mainly tho riot just has a bigger team and 5v5 is easy

Honestly @riotgames I'd rather have the occasional scripter than an anticheat that runs 24/7 on my system. Will I get punished for having software like wireshark or cheatengine installed as well? There is no justification to run Vanguard from boottime.

@mshilman Found the issue. The stories glob like this is extremely slow. ../../saas-ui-*/src/**/*.stories.tsx Changing this to adding all individual package paths (20), results in near instant boottime. ../../saas-ui-react/src/**/*.stories.tsx etc..
