So, here we are in sunny, unless you’re in Scotland, 2025, Britain’s barely breathing, food prices have ballooned, and the Government's stood there grinning like a butcher’s dog, waving around their neat little CPI graphs like it’s all fine.
They tell us inflation is under control “just 3% year-on-year in January,” they say, “2.5% in December.” Oh brilliant, let’s break out the bunting, shall we? Except... you walk into a supermarket and find milk’s gone up over 50% in two years, bread’s crept up 30%, and sugar’s turned into a middle-class luxury. Our own monitoring
adfparty.uk over the last 18 months showed some price hikes pushing 40%, with an average across the board just over 20%. That’s not a cost-of-living issue, that’s a cost-of-survival crisis.
But the Government’s not worried. Why? Because their “basket of goods” includes things no working family is living on, a Kindle, a kettle, maybe a kazoo. Meanwhile, working families are watching essentials spike so hard you’d think they were investing in private jets.
And let’s not forget farming. While they bang on about “growing the economy,” they’re slicing support for British farmers, loading them up with regulation, and apparently making it harder to do the one thing we actually need: grow our own food. Either they’re economically illiterate, or they’re doing it on purpose. And given how much they’ve managed to screw up, I’m not sure which is worse.
Now, enter stage left: BlackRock, the ever-so-helpful trillion-dollar asset manager with its fingers in everything from pensions to packaged lettuce. They’ve quietly scooped up shares in half the high street, food retailers included. No official wrongdoing, of course. No paper trail. But when a mega-fund with a vested interest in shareholder profit owns chunks of the shops jacking up prices, it’s fair to ask, are they making a killing? I think us ‘conspiracy nuts’ who actually have to pay these fast rising prices, would all have the same answer to that question.
And the media? Complicit. The BBC’s busy covering gender debates and Strictly Come Dancing scandals. The papers are more interested in Keir Starmer’s tie length than why a bag of pasta now costs more than your energy bill used to. More interested in the latest rumours on who he’s buggered or who’s buggered him and for what? (Yuck, the very thought. I’ve just put myself off my breakfast !This could be a diet technique ! Along with astronomical price rises of course ! They are doing it for our own good no doubt !) Not one of them is asking what happens to a country when it can’t afford to feed itself, or why farming is being throttled, supermarkets are reporting record profits, and global investment firms are quietly buying up the supply chain.
Is it a conspiracy? No one’s said that. But is it coincidence after coincidence, all leading to you paying more and owning less? Now that’s convenient, isn’t it?
This isn’t wild speculation, it’s pattern recognition. It’s common sense. It’s asking who benefits from the squeeze on farmers, the pressure on supply chains, and the price hikes that get dressed up as “market forces.”
And the Government? They’re pushing their UN talking points, clapping along to “sustainable this” and “green that,” while real people can’t afford butter. Agenda 2030? Stakeholder Capitalism? The Great Reset? Maybe it’s not a tinfoil-hat fantasy. Maybe it's the only plan they’ve got left, you’ll own nothing, you’ll eat crickets, and if you’re lucky, they’ll let you pay for it in three instalments on Paypal.
Welcome to Britain, 2025. It’s not just the prices that are rising. It’s the lies, the silence, and the sense we’re all being had. Wake up sheeples. Wake up.
