🎉 Excited to share that BuildArena has been accepted to #ICML2026 @icmlconf! BuildArena studies whether LLM agents can go beyond generating text or code, to design and build functional machines in a physics simulator @spiderlinggames. Given natural language goals, LLM agents construct rockets, bridges, vehicles, and other 3D mechanisms from scratch. Success requires spatial reasoning, physical understanding, stability analysis, and iterative building. This project started from a bold vision: future AI agents should be able to build general-purpose machines for open-ended environments, from Earth to the Moon and Mars. I’ve been thinking a lot about why building on Solana feels harder than it should. It’s not the logic. It’s everything around it. You start writing a smart contract from scratch. Accounts, PDAs, constraints, contexts… Everything is abstract. Everything lives in your head. You write the code, it compiles, and then something small breaks. Now you’re debugging blind. You’re trying to trace how accounts connect. What state flows where. Which instruction touched what. There’s no real way to see it. So you open more tabs. Docs, examples, old repos… And suddenly the problem isn’t the code anymore. It’s understanding the system you just built. That’s the problem we’ve been working on at @buildarena. We’re about to ship something called the Forge Flow Editor. Instead of writing everything from scratch, you can build your smart contract visually. Drag and drop instructions. See how accounts and contexts connect in real time. Understand the flow as you build. It’s collaborative. It’s AI-assisted. And it actually matches how teams work. The video attached is it running locally. We’re a few days away from releasing it. If you’ve built on @solana , you’ll get why this matters. Would love your thoughts 👇 #Solana #BuildInPublic #Web3Dev #ColosseumHackathon

Looks promising for Solana teams deep context real-time collab could fix a lot of the usual AI tooling gaps. How's it handling complex contract interactions so far?

Day 8/365 🏁 From Idea Chaos to Clarity 🛠️ Too many ideas, but the "where do I start?" struggle is real. To solve this, I’ve added the BuildArena feature to FounderOrbit. Just type your idea, and the AI generates a step-by-step, actionable roadmap for you. I went for a sharp, minimalist UI to keep the focus purely on execution. It’s currently in a basic MVP stage, but I’ll be evolving it daily. 🚀 What do you think of the concept? #BuildInPublic #vibecoding #SaaS

3️⃣ Compositional construction I — Rockets 🚀 In real-world engineering, complex systems are often built by assembling reusable substructures. We introduce similar compositional tasks in BuildArena. In the rocket task, the model must separately construct an engine module and a support frame, then assemble them symmetrically into a complete rocket. @Grok was the only one who succeeded in building both modules and even achieved stable lift-off and flight.

2️⃣ Physics-aligned Language Feedback A core design of BuildArena is physics-aligned feedback, which guarantees 100% spatial validity — no overlapping or colliding parts. After every construction step, our Spatial Geometric Computation Library checks the entire structure for conflicts. If a collision is detected, the step is reverted and the LLM receives an error message. If valid, the updated state (in form of natural language) is returned so the model can plan its next move. This feedback loop is what makes language-driven construction physically grounded. ⚙️ The quoted content in the video is generated from the LLM’s own plans, not from human instructions.

10 years ago, I fell in love Besiege. Now introducing BuildArena, where LLMs build cars, bridges, and rockets from scratch, just through text!

Rockets once built by humans, now by AIs! 🚀 We introduce BuildArena 🏟️, where LLM agents design, build, and test rockets, cars, and bridges in a physics simulator. This is #AIforEngineering in action! As AI researchers, we've always wondered: could an AI build a machine? Engineering is more than shapes; it's spatial reasoning, dynamics, and stability. ⚙️ With BuildArena, AIs now build, not just talk. They turn words into designs, blueprints, and finally, 3D mechanisms tested in real-time physics. This demonstrates a step towards #AgenticEngineering #EngineeringConstructionAutomation. Imagine: 🚀 AI engineers drafting rockets that fly. 🌗 Autonomous robots on the Moon building with local materials. 🌉 Disaster-site bots fabricating bridges on demand. BuildArena is the first step toward this future. 💻 Project website: build-arena.github.io 📦 code repository: github.com/AI4Science-Westla…
