It's not new tech though is it? @MENnewsdesk @BeeNetwork?
@busopendata has been mandatory on all buses since 2021, so the data for real live tracking has, and has always been available.
(Just use @bustimes_org- every single bus in the country is tracking)

As for āmanagementā, I have tried to get sense out of the MD of First Bus (Bell) and MD for First Bus East of England (Marlow) on several occasions during the last 2 years. They just donāt get serious customer grievances, let alone do anything about resolving them! (2/2)

Like many transport researchers we do occasionally experiment with visualisation. @Fede_Botta and I created this visualisation of ~6 hours of live buses trajectories in and around Exeter, and whether they were delayed or on time. This was made possible thanks to @busopendata.

Ah yes, live tracking finally come to the #BeeNetwork app š
A feature already available in GM on all bus operators apps for years, and a legal requirement through @busopendata since 2021.
Yet todays announcement is marketed as 'ground-breaking'! š
