Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers says in a statement, he’s pleased to see the program continue, noting, “In recent years, community paramedicine has become a hallmark of our local healthcare system,” adding, “Helping patients where they are most comfortable has been a breakthrough in local healthcare. I am pleased to see that CPLTC programs like the one in @GreyCounty will get to build on their progress in this space and continue helping patients in our community in the years ahead.” Read more about the province's investment in community paramedicine in the County of Grey here: bayshorebroadcasting.ca/2025…

🚨Advocacy Win for the EOWC! The Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus has long advocated for sustainable, community-based models and funding to support municipally operated community paramedicine programs. We are proud to see this become a permanent part of Ontario’s healthcare landscape. We thank Premier @fordnation, Minister @NatKusendova and Minister @GregRickford for their government’s investment of $89 million to make the Community Paramedicine for Long-Term Care (CPLTC) program permanent and expand its reach — including into more rural and First Nations communities. For rural and small urban eastern Ontario, where distance and access often create barriers, community paramedicine is a game-changing solution. The EOWC has championed aging in place, and the CPLTC program is a proven model that supports seniors where they want to be most — at home. This investment means: 🔹 24/7 access to non-emergency medical care 🔹 Reduced pressure on hospitals and long-term care homes 🔹 Faster interventions that prevent health crises 🔹 Expanded services to underserved and remote areas The EOWC will continue to support our partners at @OAPCMedia who help drive this program forward.
