It was a pleasure serving on today’s panel at the League of California Cities alongside Sheriff Chad Bianco, Chief Larry Gonzales, Chief Rudy Lopez, and Lt. William Hutchison. We had an important discussion about the funding needed to support Prop 36, the critical role technology plays in solving crimes, and the importance of community-led policing. I met with mayors and councilmembers from cities across West Contra Costa County visiting the Capitol as part of the @CalCities' City Leaders Summit. We discussed ways the state can support local cities address homelessness, public safety, and climate change.
