Welcome to episode 18 of firefly's multiverse, today's pick: encounter in wonderland, a dreamy romantic firefly designed by our user XiaoChengzi.
Inspired by Yayoi Kusama's polka dots, he also shared the very first spark behind this build: his daughter. "I use this car to take her to and from school, and I hope she can glow freely, like a firefly in a dreamy forest."
That's why he went bold with a high-saturation rose pink base, layered with contrasting paint, abstract forest silhouettes, and playful polka-dot patterns. From afar, it feels lively; up close, it's full of playful charm. Even the wheels got custom-colored rings to tie the whole look together.
When the color-changing wrap was being applied, he was excited but nervous: "I was worried I'd overdone it." But when the final reveal came, the vivid colors won everyone over. He also added beige floor mats to his firefly, which caught the attention of many fellow users. "I hope every school run for my daughter feels like stepping into a glowing little adventure."
