A completed draft does not automatically make an immigration matter ready for filing.
Before a case reaches that stage, the team may still need to confirm:
Supporting evidence is complete
Information is consistent across forms and documents
Attorney revisions have been incorporated
Required signatures have been obtained
The correct versions are included
Filing instructions have been followed
Final approval has been recorded
Using one broad “in progress” status for all these activities makes it harder to identify what is preventing completion.
A filing-readiness checklist should reflect the firm’s own procedures and remain subject to attorney review. Software can organize the process, but it cannot determine legal sufficiency or replace professional judgment.
Review whether your current workflow clearly separates preparation, legal review, revision, signature collection, and final filing approval.
Identify which step most often delays a matter after the first draft has been prepared.

“We know when it works.”
“It’s a gut instinct.”
That’s not enough.
If a team can’t clearly explain how a management plan is working, it’s time for a more structured approach.

If you could lift the non-clinical half of discharge off your nurses and case managers and give it to one person who did only that, what would you take off their plate first?

At a Give Kids A Smile event in the West Region, TennCare dental case management and care coordination teams did more than support kids.
A mother who came to the event for her child learned she had TennCare dental benefits herself. Ariane, a TennCare case manager, helped her understand her coverage and connect with a patient-centered dental home. Her immediate concern was addressed quickly, and she left with a long-term plan for routine and preventive dental care and peace of mind about where to go next.
This is the impact of meeting parents where they already are and turning coverage into ongoing care. Bookmark this TennCare story as you design outreach strategies for families.
