The SRTF is proud to support the return of 8,400 people from 1,400 households to safe and dignified
#homes in
#DeirezZor following the completion of its
#ShelterRehabilitation project, contributing to early
#recovery and
#stabilisation in
#Syria.
Around 30% of the families are
#returnees, including returnees from
#AlHolCamp are now able to rebuild their lives in secure environments thanks to comprehensive home
#rehabilitation works, including structural repairs, installation of doors and windows, restored electricity, and water connections.
Beyond housing, the project also strengthened livelihoods through the provision of 1,000 home
#garden kits, including 50
#hydroponic kits (of whom combined with Shelter Rehabilitation beneficiaries consist of 51%
#women), as well as
#CashforWork opportunities for 3,000 individuals (of whom 49% were women), complemented by targeted
#training sessions to support sustainable income.
By integrating shelter,
#livelihoods, and employment support, the project enables communities not only to return, but to recover, rebuild, and thrive, while enhancing
#resilience and social cohesion.
