This consultation will critically examine the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in fostering equitable, ethical, and inclusive education. Discussions will explore how civil society can contribute to the development of a National AI for Education Strategy, ensuring that AI enhances rather than replaces quality education for all learners. This convening will bring together key stakeholders to collaboratively shape policy recommendations and implementation strategies that align AI’s transformative potential with the principles of accessibility, fairness, and human-centred innovation in education. AREAi launches its Centre for Digital Development and Innovation Research in a media briefing held this day, the 12th of September 2024.🎉 The Centre for Digital Development and Innovation Research seeks to be a leading do-think tank that will create a supercluster of digital innovation, expertise, and skills development for the consistent use of robust evidence to inform ecosystem activation, policy formulation, resource allocation, and program implementation. With a focus on access to digital connectivity for education and promoting comprehensive strategies for digital literacy and skill development, AREAi is leveraging the promise of digital innovation, technology, and research to advance and promote comprehensive strategies for digital infrastructural development for the advancement of learning and teaching, particularly in rural spaces and resource-constrained environments.
