Filter by stage, sector, check size, geography and recency. Don't waste time on funds in portfolio management. Last week’s BGA mentoring theme: from validation to repeatable execution. Earlier in the programme, many conversations were about refining the idea, clarifying the story, and testing whether the problem was real. This week felt more operational. Our teams are now asking harder questions: ➡️ Who is the real champion? What is the revenue model? ➡️ Which government pathway works? ➡️ Can we explain the product in 30 seconds? And, most importantly, how do we document what works so it can be repeated? For an early-stage impact startup, one successful meeting is useful. One pilot is useful. One city activation is useful. But the real value comes when those moments become playbooks. In the past 12 months, autonomous #AI agents settled over 176 million transactions on-chain. Real money, moving without a human in the loop. The payment rails work. The agents work. What doesn't exist yet: the answer to who authorised the payment, who's accountable when it goes wrong, and how a machine's identity is verified. MiCA, the GENIUS Act, the EU AI Act... none of them address machine-to-machine commerce. The money is already moving. The accountability layer is not. This is the real frontier of #blockchain x AI when it comes to finance. Not faster transactions but verifiable ones. An agent economy without on-chain identity and auditability isn't autonomous; it's unaccountable. The question for the next 12 months isn't whether agents can transact. It's whether anyone can answer for what they do. #BGADaily

3 of the 7 teams at the UNDP SDG Blockchain Accelerator Impact Showcase last week at Proof of Talk were associated with the Alliance, and part of our incubation programme; from past incubatee @pbtokn to our current incubatees @Plastiks_io and @ZengateGlobal, we're proud to witness their growth and progress as they empower #blockchain for global impact. When BGA talks about moving #blockchain "from pilots to deployment," this is what it looks like in practice. Not a panel about potential. Not a roadmap slide. But teams standing in front of the wider ecosystem with solutions already moving toward real-world implementation in development contexts. And changing the world.

BIG: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a new Blockchain Advisory Group to explore how blockchain technology can support global development initiatives. Three major takeaways our incubatees walked away with this time: 🌍 Geography is destiny. Most institutional investors are bound to invest within their own country. Start with your home jurisdiction. 👥 People before product. Across VCs, the consistent first-place answer to "what do you value most" is the team: background, resilience and unity. 📄 Validation beats vision. A signed binding contract carries more weight than a polished deck. Non-binding MOUs are not enough.
