Happy Women’s History Month.
This month isn’t about me.
It’s about the people God called me to love, protect, and impact.
When I got the call that my dearest friend Jay had prostate cancer, I allowed myself to feel it. The fear. The heaviness. The helplessness.
Then I made a decision.
I would not sit in helplessness.
I would get informed. I would get proactive. I would use my voice.
I am beyond grateful for Jay’s recovery, his resilience, and his fight. But this journey opened my eyes in a deeper way. Prostate cancer doesn’t just affect one man. It affects sons. Fathers. Friends. Colleagues. Husbands. Entire families.
It could affect my son.
It could affect yours.
So in the spirit of Women’s History Month, I stand as a woman who advocates. A woman who protects. A woman who speaks up.
Men — please get checked. Early detection saves lives.
Sometimes being a strong woman means standing in the gap for the men we love.
