🗓️This is Check Your Defib Week (15-21 June) 🗓️ Defibrillators save lives but only if they are working and people are aware of their whereabouts. At the Bar Library there are two defibrillators available in the event of a cardiac arrest: 🔴"New Bar Library" second floor. 🔴"Old Bar Library" at the Library Issue Desk. There are over 1,400 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in Northern Ireland. Performing quick CPR and defibrillation in the event of a cardiac arrest can be the difference between life and death. #HeartHealth #CheckYourDefib

On my way home yesterday, at 2 separate services the defibs were out of action and no one had noticed. Please check them regularly and make sure they are working and the pads are in date. This could mean life and death when someone has a cardiac arrest. #checkyourdefib
