@Terrynewsome @BenBergquam @publicpolicyman Hey Benny, Terry, and Mark, here's the complete, straight up facts I found for you guys on the Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II, Presidential Center (OPC) in Chicago's Jackson Park. All info is based on public records, official statements, and the Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation’s own details. ✅Park History: Jackson Park was dedicated as public parkland "forever" through the 1869 Illinois legislature act (Private Laws of 1869), which created the South Park Commission. The law required the land to be “held, managed and controlled... as a public park, for the recreation, health and benefit of the public, and free to all persons forever.” Paul Cornell, a prominent South Side real estate developer and founder of Hyde Park township, was the main advocate who lobbied for the South Park system (including Jackson Park). The park was officially named Jackson Park in 1881 after President Andrew Jackson. ✅The Use Agreement (Signed by Obama Foundation): The Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation (with Kenya Barack Hussein Obama's II leadership and public support) signed a Use Agreement with the City of Chicago. Chicago City Council unanimously approved it on October 31, 2018. ✅ What a Use Agreement means: It is a special 99-year "USE AGREEMENT" (not a traditional full lease, contract or sale). The Foundation paid just $10.00 for the right to occupy and use 19.3 acres. They build the Center with private donations, WHICH IS STOLEN MONEY FROM ALL OF THE TAXPAYERS THROUGHOUT THE USA, then transfer ownership of the buildings to the City for free. The land itself stays owned by the City/Chicago Park District the entire time. After 99 years, any extension needs City Council approval. The Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation is responsible for operations and maintenance. Outdoor grounds, plaza, playground, library branch, and paths remain free and open to the public, no ticket needed. It is no longer the original fully open parkland, THAT WAS PROMISED TO ALL OF THE CHICAGO CITIZENS😳😱🤯😤🤬🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️ ✅Community Benefits & Contracts: Local South Side groups (the Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Community Benefits Agreement Coalition) demanded a legally binding contract with guaranteed local jobs for Black and brown residents, set-aside contracts for Black-owned businesses, housing protections against displacement, and direct money to the community. 🚩Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II said NO to signing any such binding agreement. He publicly stated: “I respect the intent, but we’re not coming in here as a for-profit organization... If we sign with one, two, or five organizations, they’re not representing everybody on the South Side.” The Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation refused to sign it. Instead, they made voluntary commitments, these are non-binding words, self-set goals (not a signed, enforceable contract). They include targets like awarding at least 50% of subcontracts to diverse/minority-owned firms (with at least 35% to minority business enterprises), local hiring preferences, and workforce training programs. No signed promise for specific cash payouts or strict quotas to residents was ever made and then protections came later through separate City of Chicago ordinances. ✅Costs: 🚩🚩🚩🚩🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️😳😱😤🤬 The Center/building itself is privately funded by donations, FROM ALL OF ILLINOISANS TAXPAYERS MONEY 100%, DONATIONS OUR ASS, BULLSHIT 🚩Initial construction estimate was about $300–330 million. It has now ballooned to around, $850 million total. 🚩Illinois state taxpayers pay about $229 million (via IDOT) for infrastructure like roads, utilities, stormwater, and park changes. 🚩Chicago taxpayers cover additional amounts. The Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation promised a ~$470 million endowment/reserve fund for long-term maintenance so taxpayers wouldn’t get stuck later, WHICH IN FACT THEY WILL GET STUCK WITH THE WHOLE BILL WRAPPED UP IN THEIR TAXBILLS. 🚩 they’ve only deposited $1 million so far. ✅ Opening & Visiting Rules (Opens June 19, 2026): Grand Opening Ceremony: June 18 (invite-only). Full public access to campus Museum: Starts June 19. ✅Museum Tickets (timed entry required, grounds/campus are completely free): Buy online at obama.org (strongly recommended — tickets sell out fast) I TRULY DOUBT THAT 🤣🤣🤣 or in person at the front desk if same-day availability exists. Up to 9 tickets per purchase. Tickets now on sale through at least Nov 30, 2026. Adults (12 ): $30 ($26 for Illinois residents with valid ID) Kids (3–11): $23 ($15 for Illinois residents with valid ID) Under 3: Free Free Tuesdays: Illinois residents get free entry every Tuesday (10 a.m.–5 p.m.) reserve ahead. ✅Valid ID for Illinois Discounts/Free Days: Current Illinois driver’s license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey. Or valid photo ID proof (Illinois lease/mortgage, library card, student ID, utility bill, or work ID recent pay stub). No valid proof = full price. ✅Entry for Non-Residents / Undocumented Individuals: No ID is needed for regular full-price tickets. Undocumented visitors, MEANS "ILLEGAL ALIENS" without ID can enter by paying full price ($30 adult / $23 child), as long as they purchase tickets and pass standard security screening. Grounds are free with no ID required. ✅Security Screening: All visitors go through standard museum security: metal detectors, bag/purse/backpack checks (or X-ray), possible wanding, and removal of jackets/belts. Weapons and large bags are prohibited. Disruptive behavior can lead to removal or arrest. ✅Parking: NOT FREE. Paid parking garage on campus (off Stony Island Ave.). Limited spots, arrive early. Standard Chicago/Illinois taxes are added on top of the base fee (this is normal city parking tax, BECAUSE BJ PRITZKILLER LOVES HIS TAXES just for the OPC, HE HAS TO GET HIS CUT IN ALL OF THIS TOO). ✅Food & Drinks: A full restaurant (fine dining by Chef Cliff Rome owner of Peach's Restaurant in Chicago, a black man style in Southern comfort food with South Side flavors) and a cafe with coffee, pastries, quick bites, and drinks. Open to the public. Grab-and-go and catering available, BUT not ultra-cheap. You can also bring your own food for picnic areas on the grounds (but not inside the Museum galleries or library). Alcohol must be purchased and consumed in the Cafe or Restaurant only. 🚩(Estimated Prices):Estimated ranges (based on similar Chicago museums/cultural centers and Chef Rome’s style at Peach’s Restaurant). 🤑🫰Cafe (grab-and-go): Coffee $4–$7, pastries $5–$9, sandwiches/salads $12–$18, drinks $4–$8. PLUS TAXES 🤑🫰Restaurant (fine dining / full meals): Entrées $28–$48, appetizers $14–$22, desserts $10–$16, cocktails/beer/wine $14–$22. PLUS TAXES 🤑🫰Bottled Water expect $4–$6 for a standard 16–20 oz bottled water PLUS TAXES ✅The Kenya Barack Hussein Obama II Foundation says the Center brings jobs, education programs, a new library branch, and free public spaces as the real community benefit. BUT it fell short on direct local guarantees, changed the “forever” park use, and left taxpayers with high infrastructure costs and a small reserve fund. NOT A SAFE FAMILY PLACE I WOULD GO TO, OR SPEND ANY MONEY TO SEE. 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮 🌟YOU 3 GUYS BE SAFE UP NORTH, TAKE CARE, BE SAFE, BE BLESS AND ALWAYS WALK IN PEACE MY FRIENDS. 🙏🫂💛💪💪💪🇺🇸 @realDonaldTrump @VP @SecRubio @WhiteHouse @POTUS @DAGToddBlanche @AAGDhillon @USAO_DC @FBIDirectorKash @SecMullinDHS @HSI_HQ @ICEgovERO @ICEgov @DHSgov @RealTomHoman @DNIGabbard @SecWar @SecretService HE IS ALLOWING ILLEGAL ALIENS TO HIS GARBAGE CAN LIBRAY/MUSEUM. All I see is Beetlejuice…😆 Obama Presidential Museum requiring photo ID and proof of residency to get in on Tuesdays with free admission. The Obama Presidential Center Museum is set to open in June after 5 years of construction and an all-in cost of $850 million. When it does open, it plans on requiring Illinois residents to show photo ID and proof of residency to get in for free on Tuesdays. The policy has sparked people to ask: If Barack Obama’s own team thinks ID is necessary to hand out free tickets to his museum, why do Democrats keep fighting against ID requirements for voting? According to the Obama Foundation website, the 19.3-acre campus in Jackson Park is open to the public in most outdoor areas (no ticket needed). But the indoor museum is different. It uses timed-entry tickets and charges regular admission. Illinois residents can get a break only if they prove they live in the state. 🔺️Regular adult ticket (age 12 ): $30 🔺️Illinois resident adult ticket: $26 (with proof of residency) 🔺️Illinois Free Days (every Tuesday): Free admission for Illinois residents only, but you must show proof at the ticket desk. 🔺️Proof of residency for the free Tuesdays requires one of these: 🔺️A current Illinois driver’s license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey card, or 🔺️A valid photo ID plus one supporting document (Illinois lease, library card, student ID with photo, utility bill, or work ID with check stub). Meanwhile Democrats, including Obama have spent years calling voter ID laws “Jim Crow 2.0,” racist, voter suppression, and designed to keep minorities from voting - a few examples 🔺️Obama: “Republicans are still trying to pass the SAVE Act—a bill that would make it harder to vote and disenfranchise millions of Americans. 🔺️Chuck Schumer: “The SAVE Act is nothing more than Jim Crow 2.0… It would disenfranchise millions of American citizens… mainly poorer people and people of color.” 🔺️He called it “one of the most despicable pieces of legislation” and “dead on arrival in the Senate,” vowing every Democrat would oppose it. 🔺️Hakeem Jeffries: “Republicans have adopted voter suppression as an electoral strategy. 🔺️That’s what the so-called SAVE Act is all about… clear and blatant voter suppression.” 🔺️Jamie Raskin: The SAVE Act “might violate the 19th Amendment, which gives women the right to vote, because you’ve got to show that all of your different IDs match. So if you’re a woman who’s gotten married and you’ve changed your name… [it affects] 69 million women.” 🔺️James Clyburn: The SAVE Act “is nothing but a throwback to those laws that were passed after Reconstruction that made it impossible for African Americans to get elected.” 🔺️Elizabeth Warren: “The Trump bill is Jim Crow 2.0… harking back to the days when states in the South blocked Black people from being able to vote with a whole series of tests and barriers.” 🔺️Ilhan Omar: “Don’t be fooled: The SAVE Act is a Jim Crow-style disenfranchisement bill designed to make it harder for you to vote.” 🔺️Bennie Thompson: “Let’s be clear, this is voter suppression.” 🔺️AOC) “House Republicans just passed a bill that would disenfranchise 70 million married American women." 🔺️Nancy Pelosi: “Republicans’ so-called SAVE Act isn’t about election integrity — it’s about blocking women voters… designed to disenfranchise millions of voters, including millions of US women.” Cost Breakdown: 💲The Obama Foundation puts the total all-in projected cost of the Obama Presidential Center at $850 million, according to their spokeswomen, latest public reports and tax filings. 💲 It includes construction, exhibits, artifacts, finishes, and first-year operating costs. 💲Already spent on construction through the end of 2024: $615.67 million 💲Original estimate: $300–$330 million 💲Increased to $500 million in 2017, and then $700 million for construction alone in 2021, before reaching the current $850 million all-in total 💲While the $850 million covers the foundation’s project, Chicago and Illinois taxpayers have paid hundreds of millions extra for roads, utilities, park changes, and infrastructure around the site. 💲Illinois alone has spent about $229 million so far on tied projects. 💲The city has not released a full reconciled total. The foundation promised a $470 million reserve fund to cover future upkeep and protect taxpayers, but only $1 million has been put in. 🎩 ChristinaAguayoNews

#obama

I thought the goal of the CityKey was to be a universal identification card that allowed access to libraries, museums, and other city institutions.
Chicago has turned all public school IDs into library cards to boost student access. blockclubchi.co/3NTWvNM

The ID Requirement at the Obama Presidential Center The Obama Presidential Center (often called the "Obama library" or museum) in Chicago's Jackson Park is scheduled to open on June 19, 2026. General admission is not free and does not require showing ID for everyone: Adults pay $30, children (3-11) pay $23. However, on Tuesdays, Illinois residents can get free admission, BUT only if they prove residency. Proof requires a valid photo ID (Illinois driver's license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey card). Alternatives for non-photo ID holders include pairing a photo ID with documents like a utility bill, lease, library card, or student/work ID.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐀 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎 𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐈𝐍 — 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐒𝐓 Matt Walsh found this and delivered it with the deadpan it deserves. The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago offers free admission on Tuesdays for Illinois residents. But to claim it, you must present a 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐃 — an Illinois driver’s license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey card — at the ticket desk (Obama Foundation website). Without it, regular admission is $𝟑𝟎 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 and $23 for children. Walsh’s reaction was surgical: “𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺, 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘣𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺.” Because according to the Democratic Party’s own logic — the logic they’ve used for years to fight voter ID laws — requiring a photo ID is 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬. Democrats have argued under oath in federal court that voter ID requirements constitute racial discrimination because, they claim, minorities are less likely to possess government-issued identification. The ACLU has called voter ID laws “a solution in search of a problem” that 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤, 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 (ACLU). So by their own standard, Obama’s $800 million presidential palace in the South Side of Chicago — a 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 — is requiring the very same documentation they call discriminatory when it’s used to verify a voter. Walsh’s conclusion: “𝘐 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘦𝘱𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺.” It’s satire. But the contradiction isn’t. If photo ID is an acceptable barrier for a $𝟑𝟎 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭, it’s an acceptable barrier for voting. Full stop. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐃 𝐭𝐨 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐦𝐚’𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐦𝐚’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. 𝐆𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐭.

Someone make this make sense. To get into the Obama Center, you need an Illinois driver’s license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey card to receive discounted or free admission. But you don’t need any of the above to enter the voting booth.
Big news! The Obama Foundation has set ticket sales for the museum at the Obama Presidential Center. Founding Members: April 21 General Public: May 6 IL residents free on Tuesdays: starting June 23 All visits are timed-entry, via obama.org 🏛️

I live in Chicago and have never heard of this (CityKey ID). WHAT?
My deputy questioned a man wandering around the back of a bank in Sanderson. He was a Venezuelan citizen, who had crossed illegally into the United States in 2023 during Biden’s catch and release days. He had an ID card from the city of Chicago, and said he didn’t know where he was. He was waiting to be picked up by his son in law but didn’t provide any more info. Sanderson Border Patrol Agents picked him up to help expedite his immigration processing. He was subsequently turned over to ICE where he will remain in custody until his immigration hearing.

The Hun are History, as is the rest of Europe In which cities do the Germans make their motor cars? What percent is the immigrant population in those cities? These percentages highlight the sector's reliance on international talent, with Eastern European, Turkish, and Ukrainian workers prominent. For context, Germany's overall immigrant share rose to nearly 30% in 2023 amid post-2022 Ukraine inflows. If you need details on additional cities like Leipzig (~13–14% immigrant background in 2016–2017, lower due to eastern location) or Emden, let me know! Major German Cities for Automobile ManufacturingGermany's automotive industry is one of the world's largest, with production concentrated in several key cities that host headquarters, assembly plants, and major facilities for brands like Volkswagen (VW), BMW, Mercedes-Benz (Daimler), Porsche, Opel (part of Stellantis), and Audi (part of VW Group). Based on industry analyses, the primary cities where German motor cars are manufactured include Wolfsburg (VW's global hub), Stuttgart (Mercedes-Benz and Porsche), Munich (BMW), Ingolstadt (Audi), and Rüsselsheim (Opel). Other notable sites like Emden (VW) and Leipzig (Porsche, BMW, and VW) also contribute significantly. The term "immigrant population" here refers to the share of residents with a foreign background (typically including non-German citizens and German citizens born abroad or with at least one parent born abroad, per German Federal Statistical Office definitions). Data is drawn from the latest available sources (primarily 2023–2024 microcensus and city statistics), reflecting shares around 28–44% in these industrial hubs—higher than Germany's national average of ~30%—due to historical guest worker programs and recent labor migration.
