2026 International Day of Education Celebration at Obuasi. On Thursday, 22nd January 2026, the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti and Adwinsa Publications, brought together schools from Obuasi and Obuasi East at the KNUST – Obuasi Campus to amplify youth voices and promote inclusive, future-ready education, under the theme “The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education.” The celebration featured poetry recitals, cultural dance performances, inspiring messages from dignitaries, and donation of storybooks and textbooks to support teaching and learning in the municipalities.
