In travel ball you have low life coaches that hold tryouts and don’t tell current players that they are on the cut list until the coach knows if they’ve found better and all the tryouts are over.
The equivalent to that in college softball is recruiting and committing kids in the portal all while going dark on your current team and not having exit interviews until the dead period.
Purposely keeping student athletes in the dark while you look for their replacement and while the portal fills is low class.
