Lol last year people were basically saying "please just push it back next time, never give us no heads up and merge with CODNext ever again this was awful"
They said "sounds good received, we will delay to first part of the year, give 8 months heads up of general timing. Give heads up and prepare to have it not overlap with another major tournament letting you know when open qualifiers will start so we can maximize participation and viewership"

The 2026 Call of Duty: Warzone Esports program has seen the launch of the COD: Warzone Resurgence Series, and we’re excited by the competition that’s taken place in the first half of this new circuit.
But COD:WRS is only one part of our esports landscape, and we’d like to share some news on the World Series of Warzone. To focus on delivering the best inaugural COD:WRS season possible, WSOW will begin after the COD:WRS season concludes, and kick off in early 2027. Full qualification details will be shared in the coming months.
In the meantime, tune in to the rest of the COD:WRS season, including the Atlanta LAN next week where we’re improving the experience with an official Open Broadcast on Saturday, and an enhanced in-person spectator area. Our casters will also be there to bring you all of the action as we qualify another five teams for the COD:WRS Championship!
