It depends heavily on use case. For instance, at 28 knots, the OHPs and NSC have nearly identical range. Adding armament to FF(X) will drop off fuel stores and decrease its range. A COGAG propulsion plant is significantly lighter than CODAG and allows more room for weapons on a smaller hull. I think the NSC is better suited for upgrades as an AAW frigate, but the OHP design is more easily updated to make a good ASW frigate. I don’t think the navy will get both a good ASW and AAW frigate in a sub 5 or even 6k ton platform.

Perhaps putting the CA on maybe the Codag linkedIn or somewhere on the website (can be obscure) for now could ease any potential doubts about the authenticity for starters @michaelzixizhou Along with talking with @igoryuzo and @0xDeployer , id again recommend looking into the other top projects on @bankrbot and seeing what made them successful and their execution.

If we’re getting hulls for machinery and electrical, then I’d also vote for getting a Jeongjo the Great-class (COGAG with hybrid electric) or ASEV (CODAG) and moving AB Flight III systems to one of those hulls. It could be a good stepping stone to DDG(X) if we ever go back down that route. But I’m just blabbing haha

So many trivial errors ... 2230/HQ17H which don't exist, HQ-29 that can't fit into HT-1, YJ-21 which is for air launch, even CODAG (should be COGAG) ... it's a fanboi imagination, a low quality one

I got into @ycombinator S26! The past 6 months have felt like 2 years: - Turned down 7-figure new grad offers at top companies - Bootstrapped until my bank account hit zero - Pivoted 5 times, and did door-to-door sales for a couple of months - Joined @zfellows and flew out to SF last month - Cancelled my return flight to Toronto - Had wonderful neighbours I'd just met crowd-fund my apartment deposit - Got the call from @aroraharshita33 6 hours after my YC interview ...all without telling my mom. Codag is the crystallization of everything I picked up across infrastructure, systems, and platform engineering. Our thesis is that within two years, agents will be the primary consumer of logs, and soon the primary producer of them. Today's observability stack and dashboards were built for humans to look at. Agents are a different reader entirely, and the infrastructure for understanding systems at scale has to be rebuilt for them. That is what we're building. We start with log compression: turning millions of lines into a compact, cited capsule an agent can actually read, so it stops drowning and starts debugging. I cannot believe I get to work on this full time - I wake up every day looking forward to building more. To everyone who made it real: @carterkev, @cory, @aroraharshita33, @amiklas, @nemild for taking the bet, the neighbours who backed a stranger with a laptop, and the countless friends that support me. It won't and cost will likely be in the upwards of $17-21 billion dollars. The original $17 billion cost estimate was assuming a standard CODAG propulsion plant. Keep this in mind. It takes: - 4 years to build a Flight III Burke at 9.9k tons - 4-6 years to build a Zumwalt at 16k tons - 10-15 years to build a Ford CVN at 110k tons If you double the tonnage roughly of the Zumwalt and add the complexity of a nuclear plant on top of the combat systems install you can probably expect close to 8-10 years from keel laid to commissioning.
CG(X)の研究の時、「燃料代が高騰したら、大型艦の場合は原子力化はありの選択」、って研究結果が出てましたから、個人的には納得出来ます(でも建造所とか、建造期間とかは大丈夫か)。

20mm from an F-18, so it could be HEI or SAPHEI. I'd wager it hit something critical in a CODAG or diesel-electric system, and that was the natural gas / battery cooking off.
